When believers start putting our Lord God to a test and start throwing our infants, God's babies, that we are stewards of off a cliff because we believe God will save them you need to repent.

Are all babies elect? So if they die in infancy, they are going to Heaven?

Or are some babies elect? If they die in infancy they go to Heaven, but non-elect babies would go to Hell.

Which is it?

Usually when this question is asked Calvinists say, "it's a mystery, only God knows", which is a cop-out, IMO. But this time around, most of you are getting all indignant and offended at the question because it was asked by Winman, so instead I'm asking it.

Which is it?

Ok...lets start from the very beginning.....when does God elect you?

Why is it a cop-out? What verse tells us clearly that babies go to heaven? There is none. So we cannot know.

If all babies go to heaven and then at some point in their life, they lose that ticket to heaven, is it not merciful to allow abortion and infanticide?

Non-sequitur. Diversion.

Avoidance of the question. Diversionary tactic.

Let's just stay on topic. Answer my questions.

Well.....ya didn't say the magic word. And truthfully I don't believe you understand Calvinist theology enough to be able to appreciate any answer we provide you. So stand there and stamp your feet and scream at the top of your lungs cause I ain't gonna give you any hard and fasts till you understand the thinking that goes along with it. And just so ya know, that's how we discuss things....by unpackaging them to agreed concensus.

As such, this discussion has reached its end. Never engage a person on theology till you understand his mindset. You obviously have no patience towards that end. So again, here are the marbles....have fun.

Predictable as drool on a bassett hound's jaw. I asked a simple question and I didn't get an answer.

Yes...you don't have the mindset to hear it out....perhaps if you lost.....no, not going there.....note though, this is a very personal and spiritual matter for me. A hard and fast answer amounts to a cheap and dirty answer to me. I would not tread lightly on this subject matter. There are others out there who may be going through the same grief my wife and I went through....I wont subject them to that.

I didn't realize so many of you felt this way... kinda wish I didn't start this thread at all. Sorry to my Calvie brethren.

Admin: not that you need my permission, but you certainly have my approval to close this one down.

One more time for the Admins or whoever.
