Necessities: One thing I don't get is the toilet paper rush? What's up with that? If I thought things were going to have shortages I might buy things like 50# sacks of rice and beans and canned goods, but a run on toilet paper?
Silly: Just how much toilet paper do these people need?

Don't: go a cruise! I have no interest on going on one anyway, but what a nightmare it would be to be trapped on a big metal box for weeks with a virus floating around!

Do: be sure to have a way to sterilize your hands, ...besides practicing to keep them off your face.

The selves also seem to be empty of hand sanitizer. I work in the health field, Physical Therapy Home Heath Care, regularly use hand sanitizer and am running low so this craze is a bit disturbing to me ...except I will simply spray my hands with rubbing alcohol if I'm left no choice.

Do: praise God for the blessings he has provided!
Don’t: drink the cool aid
Do: stock up on food, bleach, guns and ammo.
Don’t: let fear get the best of you.
Do: practice proper hygiene
Don’t: go to out and about or work/school/church if you don’t feel well.
Do: use bleach and Lysol to disinfect
Don’t: mix bleach and ammonia

Alcohol-based hand sanitizers will kill up to 95% of viruses. The higher the amount of alcohol the better.
I guess I was thinking about anti-bacterial soap. Checked our hand sanitizer at the office. Alcohol based, says it kills 99% of all germs and bacteria. Does not mention viruses specifically.

Anyway, I will not live quaking in my boots at the coronavirus pandelerium. Think we mainly should just practice a generally healthy lifestyle.

Do: Buy stock in hand sanitizer companies the moment the next pandemic begins and sell after 6 months.

Your guns should help. You could shoot the virus.

Silly: A little while ago a caretaker of one of my patients requested that we wrap up physical therapy because she wants to quarantine the patients due to the threat of coronavirus. There is not one known case in my county...

So, I stopped at 2 Walgreens, CVS and 2 grocery stores and the rubbing alcohol shelves were all empty, so were the disinfectant wipes and anything with an alcohol base. Some 30 year old guy at Walgreens was buying about 8 quarts of peroxide.

I thought I would try Amazon and the quarts of rubbing alcohol were either unavailable or ranged from $29.95 to $67.00!

I did bend down and looked back under a bottom shelf and found one container of alcohol wipes stuck up against the wall. I also need to wipe down my equipment when checking patient's O2, temperature and blood pressure...

You could always make your own. I’m sure the sheep haven’t bought up all the copper, grain, sugar etc.

I asked the Walgreens manager when they might restock rubbing alcohol and he said they did this morning. He said, people saw them loading the shelves and it was gone it 10 minutes. Again, there is not 1 case yet in my county and people are hoarding everything - it makes me wonder about what kind of competition there would be just for even basics if this were an actual emergency.

Finally a good use for beer and whiskey, just buy it and use it as a handwash!
You do realize that ethyl (drinking) alcohol and isopropyl alcohol are not the same thing? ...wouldn't want anyone to misunderstand that...
