I want to encourage you. Do you REALLY Think you have done a shameful, horrible thing, that left God, kind of displeased? No. This was a learning lesson.
Imagine this: At 17 yrs old you have an encounter with Jesus, you have 2 full body visions, and like Paul in the NT, you would describe it like he did, when he said, "In the body or not I do not know". God speaks to you, telling you to go up to certain people and you quietly whisper to them, that you are a Christian, and that God is telling you secrets about their lives, they instantly break down, and accept Jesus. This happens over and over.
But then one day God speaks, and you, don't obey (not really), then you fall into sin: (painful experiences with Christian people pushes you, and you don't respond appropriately). Then decades go by, and one day life falls apart. Looks like you will lose everything you have, and all those you love. So, you take your shotgun, and load it with double aut, and put your mouth over the end of the barrel.
But you don't die!!! You mess up your face, cut the carotid artery (docs confused about you being alive 24 hours later for surgery) ... You are in hospital for months, then you go home to recover for another 1-3 yrs.
To your shock, when you get home, God speaks!!! The same voice you heard in the 70's you hear again after decades of silence. What does He say? He explains a lot of things that have happened, tells you He loves you, and that you are never to put your sins above His love, and grace for you again.
