Sin likened to driving nails into Jesus

Have you ever been in a church meeting where the speaker has done an excellent job of presenting the gospel so anybody can understand it? You start praying for those in the crowd that need salvation while the speaker begins to turn his message toward Christians who may need to turn away from one any sin they are struggling against in order to have a closer walk with Jesus. Your ears hear him say something like, "You know you need to let go of this sin that has such a hold on you. You have lost count of the amount of times you have promised Him you will never do it again. You know that, being His child, every time you commit this sin it's as if you can feel yourself driving another nail into His hands.

Why is it so easy to point out to a Catholic the ...error, false teaching, lies, heresies, even doctrines of demons their religion teaches them about Communion(Mass) and the Crucifix.
Jesus died Once" we say. Jesus is no longer on the cross. He has risen.
Yet we will listen to: "Every time you commit this sin it's as if you can feel yourself driving another nail into His hands."... and His hands are not there.

I'm not familiar with this. I just googled it. That did not help me. I can be a little slow on the uptake sometimes.

Driving nails into Jesus reminded me of the Latin phrase.

According to RC tradition and the apocryphal Gospel of Peter Peter was fleeing Rome to avoid being crucified. He comes upon the post-Resurrection Jesus heading toward Rome.

Peter asks, "Quo vadis?" "Where are you going?"

Jesus replies, "Romam vado iterum crucifigi." "I am going to Rome to be crucified again".

Peter mans up and returns to Rome to be crucified upside down; unworthy to be executed in the same manner as his Lord.

The 1951 movie Quo Vadis was based on Henryk Sienkiewicz's 1896 novel of the same name.

Quite a contrast to the Bible's testimony that, "By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

I did come across that information. I just wasn't sure where you were going with it. Do any of those stories try to explain how or why Jesus is walking around and going to be crucified again?
