Sloppy use of words indicates sloppy thinking. Neither is good.
How "sloppy" a word is wimp, anyway? Merriam Webster defines it as "a weak, cowardly, or ineffectual person." That lacks a bit of precision as compared, for instance, to diabetic. To divert the issue to the proper use of a word that that is quite indefinite, along with its synonyms-- wuss, sissy, pushover, doormat, et al-- is an evasion.
