If someone doesn’t like being told how to spend money, they should create their own value. When their money is their own value, they won’t have to worry about these kinds of restrictions.
But it probably never occurred to them to get a job and not be dependent.

The USDA has a process for waivers for folks such as those mentioned in the story.

Kind of hard for me to believe someone has a medical problem that only allows them to eat junk food, but that seems to be the argument
