Joseph’s professional was a tekton
The entire story is upside down …it didn’t begin as a peaceful time of reflection. It began as a crisis at the heart of it all with his father Joseph … we’ve been told Joseph was a humble carpenter, a quiet man who fades out of the story without explanation, but notice something striking, the original Greek word describing Joseph’s profession was a Tekton, and it doesn’t mean carpenter it means builder, architect, engineer and that one word changes everything. Joseph wasn’t a poor laborer. He was a man of knowledge, influence, and resources a strategist who understood not only how Tekton’s construct buildings like the temple of Jerusalem. Probably they had societal concern's in their day and they could have presented a potential danger to the society of the day with men of that caliber talking to people of influence and that could become a problem. I truly wonder what did happen to Joseph, but that’s been glossed over.
