Socialism has failed

Socialism Has Failed. Period.

Good reading for socialists to ponder.
I get the sense American socialists say it will be different this time. It is never different though.
And Sweden is not socialist.
Remember when Venezuela was held up as a model for socialists and they said this is how America should be, and was not that long ago. Had a socialist friend who was in love with Chavez, and I think he still is, blames Venzuela's problems on the US.

Except, under Chavez a lot more as done for the people than in other socialist countries. He pushed hard to get rid of illiteracy, famine and homelessness. He pushed hard for his people to be treated with respect & dignity by foreign employers, and in a couple cases when the companies balked, they thought they could pressure Chavez by shutting their doors, putting people out of work. Chavez, in response, came in with the military and seized the company properties. I guess you could say that it's a silver lining. Now if only there was a way to look back and reflect on the change of direction that proved deadly to the Venezuelan politics....

Ok, but Sanders said the same things about Cuba, sure they did some good things, but the economy and freedoms, no they destroyed people's ways of making a living. I know a Romanian who lived under socialism- communism, he said daily life was bad.
Some news,
Venezuela's Maduro hires Chavez cousin, drug kingpin for powerful oil industry roles

People vote themselves into socialism, but they have to shoot their way out. Meaning it is tough to escape the system once instituted.

And remember how Che & Fidel got into office. They took advantage of the farmers not paying attention to the national politics.
