Ah yes, the Calvinist spin had to come in at some point...;)

Well, if the Calvinists would merely stop insisting on being wrong, then we wouldn't have a problem now, would we?

Just kidding, kids. That was sarcasm. We need to smile more. :wavey:

If we'd like to discuss whether or not Sola Scriptura means what it means, fine. But if this continues down to another "Why my soteirology is right and yours is wrong," let's close her down. It's off topic.

Not discussing that issue here in my OP...

Point was just wondering WHY others accuse cals of "being in Calvin" only for theology, while we all are really in Bible as primary and ONLY reliable source to get theology views from?

But what do you do when theologians disagree? For example, I have read there are three popular explanations for Original Sin, and each refutes the other two. So, how do you know what is correct? Wouldn't you have to go to scripture?
Of course. Who said you wouldn't? Well, you have, to an extent, but that's a strawman. No one has said you shouldn't.
I'm OK with you disagreeing with me.
Whew! That's a relief for me. Now I can sleep at nights  Kidding, friend.

I'm not okay with people taking Scriptural study like the Bereans were commended for, contending for the faith once for all delivered unto the Saints, etc., and then setting such in opposition to their own methods and experiences that put themselves above the Word and faithfulness to it.

I am not against learning if it is useful.
But then you say:
Knowing the fancy theological name for this covenant was no big deal to me..........knowing a fancy theological term was not (for me).
Sophistry.

Thanks!
