Something very positive about Corona infections

it has been in the back of my mind but is more obvious today.
They are saying the virus has been circulating in public for 30 days already in many places, YET, the infections must be so minor in these people because we dont hear of many in hospitals near death. Since it is about 2 weeks to get over this, quite a few may have gotten it and are now over it thinking it a regular cold. Honestly, if it was the really bad disease the media is pumping out stories about, all those people would be laying in hospital beds already...and they are not. So really this disease is all about the elderly and other people who are medically compromised, not about anyone else. There are however many old and otherwise sick people with ongoing issues who are going to suffer with this, which is why if you test positive, they demand you go into quarantine. Since quite a few had it and never got tested, the quarantine may not be very useful. it certainly wont stop it from infecting people, all it can do is what they call flattening the infection curve to buy more time for medical people to figure out effective treatments for people who do get it bad. Bad thing about being forced in quarantine, your out of your job, meaning maybe money issues, and your job which provides goods and services is not being done like store stocking , taking care of the sick you name it, it has an effect on everybody. etc....

As someone with diabetes and who is on a medication that is believed to make it easier to catch the virus and which could also make it a severe case for me, I'm likely a part of the vulnerable population. Maybe not the most vulnerable, I'm young and other than hypertension, diabetes, and high LDL count I'm healthy (as far as I know), but still. Please do take precautions for the sake of those who may not handle the virus well.

The more people get this and recover the better for the vulnerable people as it creates what is called 'herd immunity'. Meaning the virus cant spread easily because too many people are become immune.
pandemics last about 3 months typically, then they are gone.
So this too shall pass.
