This is what you and I have to look forward to:

You will have to answer to God for your condemnation of His children's praise.

You will have to answer for blasphemy (attributing God's work of saving millions by conveying to them the gospel through praise music to Satan).

I will also have to answer for several things (none come to mind..well..probably how I spoke to some here).

But I have NEVER condemned the praise of God's people even if I disliked the genre.

Yes, I have no choice but to stand before Christ and answer for my actions, that's why I'm doing it!

No. He has reached millions with Contemporary Worship Music. He reached me in the late 1970's at a VBS program.

Where are the millions now? I cannot acvount for most of them. I am right here. My wife is beside me. My son is upstairs. Some are pastors. Some are faithful members of churches. Some left the faith.

It is the same with those who have been reached through hymns. There are millions, but I fo not know where they are. I suppose most have passed on by now.

I told you what they are teaching. I told you how they live their lives (the ones I know).

I saw one of them a few hours ago at a coffee shop (my wife and I grabbed some coffee...and the dog.. but he didn't have coffee). She was sitting there studying 1 Samuel as they were going to discuss it tonight.

The doctrine taught by many is very solid. But just like those who sing hymns only, this can vary.

We were talking about what is called the "rock beat", and several old songs were written using that beat. The beat was used long before rock music. It is an accent on beats 2 snd 4.

By your standard "Go Tell it on the Mountain" is satanic. The lyrics, just like praise music, are good. But that beat makes it satanic.

Most of us sing "I'll Fly Away" with that "rock beat" (instead of the accent between beats). That is satanic.

That's no Mountain; My Feet are on the Rock; Pass it On, I Came to Praise the Lord, Oh Happy Day, Just a Little Talk With Jesus, Let Everthing Within Me Cry Holy, Working on the Building, .... old ones but all satanic to you.



I think you may be confusing the "rock beat" with what sounds like rock music to your ears.

I think you may find you are not. I encourage you to read Romans 14 a few times before making that journey.

Obviously we all will have our short falls. But we should do all we can, while we can, to shorten that list.

Why? Because God commands against me making that judgment. Jesus will make them stand.

But to outright declare the work of God to be the work of Satan is a bridge too far. It is literally blasphemy. That is what you did. If not a million times over, at least once.

KJVO and PSA are not leading the worship services in most Churches today.

Comparing apples and oranges there, Jon.

We'll be ok if we don't let the sun go down on our anger.

So I guess that means we can be angry until tomorrow afternoon at sunset.

PSA is. KJVO.....probably depends on the area. Here...probably 25%.

I'll pick up my anger arlt 7:15 in the morning.

Seriously, though, I am not angry (I rarely get angry).

I value honesty over agrerment and try not to pull my punches (and I expect the same in return). But after 23 years in the Army I can be tone deaf. Let me know if my words end up being offensive to you and I will adjust to my "Mr Rogers" personna.

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood, isn't it.

It is not apples to oranges. Everything we do is worship.
