When "Jesus Christ Superstar" came out, I was a senior in high school. Still, my parents would not let me see it. Anyway, my wife and I watched it not too long ago on one of the cable channels. The lyrics to some of those songs made me cringe like

I understand why Mom and Dad did not want us seeing it. The message of the movie is horrible.
