SOULS DIE

"....and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever".

Does anyone see the word "THEY" there, in the authorized KJV ?

The NIV and other translators, deceived by their belief in a place of eternal punishing for mortal human beings, simply added the plural pronoun "they", which is in effect falsely stating that the mortal beast and mortal false prophet would join all the others they believe God is going to punish for eternity.

The punishment for those mortal humans, who are condemned by God after the judgment, is truly an eternal punishment because they will never again be alive and have no further chance at salvation, having spurned such salvation during their lives and even after they have been resurrected.

But the punishment will be swift and sure since the lake of fire will destroy every vestige of them in short fashion. It will not be an eternal punishing, but is eternal punishment.

Satan, on the other hand, is an immortal spirit being. The lake of fire and brimstone will not destroy an immortal being, but if he remains in that lake forever, Satan will be tormented eternally.

Every human being is an immortal spirit being. Can you prove otherwise. You just attributed immortality to Satan which in your mind (previously) was akin to blashpemy because you said that only God was immortal. Correct? Now you say that Satan is immortal. How many other beings possess immortality? Was Satan a created being or not? Or is he equal to God, having no beginning and no ending?
Why do you give Satan immortality and not man?

Understand this: Man is a spirit being.

And it is the false prophet who is in the lake of fire being tormented forever ...
Psalms
37:20

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

you said that only God was immortal
Paul is comparing man to God. In that case, only God is immortal.

1Tim.
6:16
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Man is a spirit being
Paul calls man mortal, corruptible:

1Cor.
15:53
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Man is a spirit being
Humans are mortal flesh and blood.

Jn
3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Earlier wopik said only God is immortal, using scripture to back what he said. Now he is saying satan is immortal. Is he saying satan is God?
Paul said only God is immortal.

you don't believe God's word.

“The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

you believe the wicked spend eternity ALIVE.

the second death (Revelation 20:14; 21:8), which is the final, irreversible death experienced by impenitent sinners. This means that the ultimate wages of sin is not eternal torment, but permanent death.

DEATH would be ETERNAL PUNISHMENT.

“The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

REV. 20:10.

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, (where the beast and the false prophet {were}), and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

God is still God.

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Everlasting: aiwnioV aionios ahee-o'-nee-os

from 165; perpetual (also used of past time, or past and future as well):--eternal, for ever, everlasting, world (began).

Punishment: kolasiV kolasis kol'-as-is

from 2849; penal infliction:--punishment, torment.

Jesus did not lie. it will be perpetual torment that the wicked go through... not annihilation.

</font>[/QUOTE]But that is not what Wopik said.
Wopik said that Satan is immortal.
So what is it Wopik: a mistake? a lie? or simple confused theology? (I choose the latter).
Either way you must reconcile your statements.

everlasting punishment
punish-ment, not punish-ing.

The Second Death, from which there is no resurrection, is EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT -- EVERLASTING DEATH.
