South Korea is disputing former national security adviser John Bolton’s account of President Trump’s negotiations with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

Bolton has written a memoir of his time in the White House under Trump titled “The Room Where It Happened.” The book is scheduled for release on Tuesday, though many excerpts have already appeared in the press.

A South Korean security official says that Bolton’s version of the events surrounding three U.S.-North Korea summits that took place from June 2018-June 2019 is “distorted.” In his book, Bolton claims that South Korean President Moon Jae-in set unrealistic expectations for the talks while pursuing his own agenda to unify the Korean peninsula. Bolton describes Moon as “schizophrenic,” according to Reuters.

I suspect this kind of thing will be happening a lot, since it appears Bolton's book has his own spin on every event.

In the end, the book will tell us more about Bolton than Trump.

He can best be described as "self-serving" with this book. A man who has absolutely no honor or integrity.

My 2¢ is that Bolton is bitter that he was fired so fast and that Trump disliked his neo-con hawkishness. Bolton should have taken things with a grain of salt and just went on without debating until the end of the world with Trump. Then he might have gotten another job in the future or might have become an elder statesman. Now he is just retired and out of office forever.

Bolton thought he was there to get what he wanted, not just as a counselor.

Even the media doesn't get it, deliberately I'd guess. Trump sometimes hires people he doesn't agree with just to get another viewpoint.
