Southern Decadence Holds Bourbon St. Parade

Well makes me think they did this to draw attention to themselfs. EWE GROSS! But believe it or not..... poor little sheltered me didn't know that there was such a thing going on there.......nor did I realize until the other day that theres a thing called "Houston Pride" that has a whole calander full of activity schedualed(sp?) for a whole month in Houston TX and there was some in London. We really need to pray for these people and that their eyes are opened before its too late.

In my state right now, a celebration of one's life....a joyous fulfillment of being safe and alive does NOT come from parading around in the face of death celebrating your sexuality, be you homosexual or heterosexual.
Right now...a celebration of one's life comes from pouring water into the mouth of someone who can't hold the bottle without dropping it...
...a celebration of being alive come's from feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless...
...a joyous fulfillment comes right this very minute from holding the hand of someone who doesn't know where all of their family is and being a "stand-in" for their loved ones.
My church is getting 20 people to live in our gym soon. We have scrubbed the showers and bathrooms with bleach, blown up over 25 air mattresses and made them up with donated linens, and collected enough food to feed an army.
We have partitioned our gym in such a way that individual families will have privacy.
We have worked harder than we have in years and it's has been a joyous time for us to prepare for these people. It's been a blessing to us.
And we have CANCELLED our women's celebration that was to have taken place this coming weekend. That celebration will not take place.
The youth have CANCELLED their back-to-school bash that was to have taken place this past weekend. The young people gladly gave up that party to help the adults prepare for these families.
We are celebrating being alive by preparing to take in families that can no longer live certain overcrowded shelters or motels.
That's a celebration of being alive. NOT parading down the streets and celebrating sexuality, a deviant sexuality at that, and actually participating in sexual acts in the street and ignoring the basic needs of people all around you.
That's not a celebration. It's a foul and selfish act.
Be they gay or straight, these people aren't being led by their hearts and minds into thankfulness for being alive....
...they are being led by what is between their legs into a blatant disregard for even a drop of human dignity or kindness.

You're assuming, of course, that none of the celebrants have taken any one in or passed out food & water or helped rescue their neighbor. That's a mighty big assumption.

I don't see other groups of sinners flaunting their lifestyle this way. Where are the Adulterers Parades? Where are the Murderers Parades? Where are the Thieves & Liars & Child Molesters parading? Why must we accept THIS sinful action, when we are to condemn all sin? Why must we remain silent to THESE sinners, and never question the lives that will lead them away from God?

We have been all but silenced buy the grand satanic tool called, political correctness. They, the sodamites, have through "in your face" politics, made it very difficult to counter with Christian values. Our values are ridiculed today with a high measure of impunity. James Dobson is one of the few that still has a voice, heard by everyone. It's all part of the great spiritual battle we wage.

BTW, all the Louisiana sex offenders that were in the hurricane zones have been relocated and are now living among us in our communities, not having been located by government officials as of yet. (per cable news)
Just thought I'd brighten everyone's day with that tidbit. (we need a "shaking head" graemlin - sigh)
