    WisdomSeeker, I have to disagree with you on the age thing. I am a parent of a 5 year old and I also work in a daycare in the infant room. Although we do not use any physical force on the children we do sit them in time out and even in my infant room where the ages only go up to 1 year the babies/crawlers know when they are not allowed to do something and even when we sit them in time out they know and don't like it one bit. Of course not normally till they are around 7 or 8 months do they start to test boundries in a more visable way but they do associate that they have done wrong.
