Hi 37818.
You posted:
"For the word of God
is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul
and spirit, . . ." --
Hebrews 4:12?
What you trying to say by this, what we have spirit and soul in us at the same time? So you took it not as a metaphor but literally. OK.
Psalm 104.29-30
29.You hide Your face, they are dismayed,
You take away their spirit,
they expire and return to their dust. (KSB) (Psalm 104.29) (Ecclesiast 12.7).
If spirit of man returns to GOD, where the soul will go?
Psalm 146.3
4.
When their breath departs,
they return to the Earth on that very day their plans perish.
Well, in this verse nothing said about spirit or soul, how you can explain this? Is this means that our spirit and soul will be buried with us in the grave?
James 1.21
21.Therefore, rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted Word that has the power to
save your
souls.
1Peter 1.9
9.you are receiving the outcome of your
faith, the
salvation of your
souls.
If our souls are saved, what would happen to our spirits?
Please, answer these questions for me?
