Spiritual Recession

I woke up in the night with the words "Spiritual Recession" in my mind. Why, I don't know.

Anyway, I decided that I would ponder on those words today, but I'm not getting very far. What do you think those words mean?

I would say that it's a falling away. I thought perhaps it was a famine---of hearing the Word of the Lord, but I can't say that that is so. I mean, there is a Baptist church on nearly every street corner. It's not for lack of churches for sure.

Help me sort these thoughts out, please.

Very true, but this does not equal "WORD OF GOD"!

I still hear the Bible preached today, but the mutations are getting more numerous daily.

Could be that "recession" is used because there will be a revival yet; just not "today"!
