In my post #16 I replied with Scripture to your points & gave you links so you could check out the Scriptures.Israel still has that promised Kingdom yet to come per Jesus, just not part of the plan in this Age!
And the term restoring all things would refer toall that God had promised israel, as paul also mentions how much greater will it be when the Jews return to Jesus and get saved on the national level!
I did, as Jesus asserted that Israel would have that time of restoration promised them IF they chosen to accept Jesus as King, as that would have ushered in the Messianic Age!In my post #16 I replied with Scripture to your points & gave you links so you could check out the Scriptures.
Yet again you post without any Scripture references. You have told you follow theology without Scripture, & you have proved that repeatedly.
Please try to find & quote Scripture which actual says what you are asserting.

Brother Glen,That is an interesting thought but I think a better one is this... Pay particular attention to verse 41... Brother Glen
John 1:35-51
1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
That thought of there being an earthly Kingdom set up, a Messianic Age, runs all the way thru the OT prophets!Brother Glen,
Why do you think Y's post was an "interesting thought?" Do you know of any supporting Scriptures?
What is your "better thought?"

John was awaiting the time of the Second Coming event, as was paul, as that would usher unto the earth the kingdom as described by Isaiah, when no more wars, no diseases, and all worshiped God and his messiah! And then Jesus Christ came & lived, died & rose according to OT prophecy, & the Messianic age began.
You are carnal in your "thoughts." You never find a quote from Jesus or his Apostles to justify your thoughts.
Read Isaiah 61:1-2 then Luke 4:14-21John was awaiting the time of the Second Coming event, as was paul, as that would usher unto the earth the kingdom as described by Isaiah, when no more wars, no diseases, and all worshiped God and his messiah!
When did all of that in History then?
I guess that was a bad choice of words....
Jesus quoted all part of the prophecy of isaiah though, as the remainder still awaits His second coming!Read Isaiah 61:1-2 then Luke 4:14-21
Jesus said,
"Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
You obviously agree with the mob that tried to throw Jesus off the cliff.

The Sermon on the Mount was not for how we are to live now though, but as showing to us what being holy and righteousness per God really meant. When was the day of vengeance? See Luke 21:22
Read the Sermon on the mount to read of Jesus assurance of blessings in accord with prophecy.
You seem to think OT prophecy has to be specifically quoted in the New Covenant Scripture to have its fulfilment by the Lord Jesus Christ in the present Gospel age.
Instead you should understand that the way the Prophets are quoted by Jesus and the Apostles establishes the principles for us to understand OT prophecy.
The Sermon on the Mount was not for how we are to live now though, but as showing to us what being holy and righteousness per God really meant.
And much of the NT would still be applying to the future Second Coming event itself!
The truth is that Jesus was describing in the passages BOTH event in their time, and still yet to happen! You know there are two books I refer to quite frequently... The number one is my King James Bible but another that I go to is Josephus War Of The Jews... They work hand in hand... If you check history this came to pass... Brother Glen
Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
