The graduated rates are needed for the people who don't work. It is a system that punishes success. Contrary to many a liberal hallucination, most fortune 500 companies donate great amounts of money to good charities. And don't give me the argument that we need to tax the rich because church's don't perform their duties anymore. Maybe I would be willing to better fund their health care, if I didn't have to fund their section 8 housing & food stamps, as well.

Maybe if more people that were able to work would get off their lazy behinds and work, there would not be such a need for assistance in providing for their well being.

I'm not against someone who truly cannot work getting help, but just look around at the people who will not provide for themselves.

Maybe if the government simply let some of them work or starve, the problem would solve itself!

That would be the biblical approach, DF.
Well that explains why the liberals will never go for it!

After all, they are for getting God out of anything public, so naturally the "biblical approach" would mean squat to them; even to the turning against something just because it may be biblical.:tear::tear:
