Nor will most be able to retire in comfort.
What convinced us that we had an inalienable right to cease working for our bread?
"he who doth not work doth not eat,:"
"and having food and raiment let us therewith be content"
in a high grade nursing home.
So less than half of all American families can afford to put their parents in a high grade nursing home for as long as two years.
You take care of your parents then....you raise good, godly, children, and you love and care for
one another. You take care of your aging parents, your godly children take care of you. The New Testament as well, has very much to say about taking care of the "widows indeed" etc... Your
Social Security, should be your children and your local Church.
and that the rich should pay less taxes?
Taxes are an altogether inherent (but necessary) evil. Governments do not, and cannot generate or create wealth, they can only confiscate it through force. All wealth confiscated through taxes removes Capital from the private sector (which
does create wealth).Taxes are ideally, lowered as much
as possible upon EVERYBODY....
This includes the "rich". A term rarely defined by
net wealth, as it should be, but rather only the particular amount they made in income in 1 particular year. Complicated
things like this, escape the miniscule minds of liberals, who (because they almost never start businesses or create wealth) fail to realize that someone who starts a business might lose money for 2-3 years in a row, and therefore get more and more in debt, and yet, when their risk and hard work eventually pay off to say...a $275k single year net profit....with no future guarantee of profit, they are now officially "rich" and must lose it to ne'er-do wells (who will not help them pay off their business loans.)
