Most Baptist pastors, at least those with a Seminary education, teach and preach what they learned getting their M.Div., which is a three year course of study. After three years they run out of material so they move on to where they can start all over again. :)
I don't know about that. It took me twenty years to understand what they were trying to teach me and by then I I was getting to old to remember was I was looking for :)

Most churches in our area don’t want an older Pastor they want a young person who can bring in the youth. If they don’t have school aged children they don’t even consider them. I know a Pastor in a GARBC church who is got children that are foster children to be able to continue to Pastor.

As someone who used to foster children, I don't believe anyone would do that.

Well, he is older and the church wants a Pastor with children. His are grown so he is fostering children. He has four children he is fostering.
