If Trump gets the funding bill passed, yes, it will add at least the amount that's borrowed and because of the nature of compounding interest, a lot more as well.

So to be sure I'm getting this "education" straight, you don't believe there will be any counter-balance then and the end result will only be the "adding" to a higher national debt by the Trillions? As much as "10 Trillion" to the debt?

If Trump spends $1 trillion on infrastructure, builds up the military, slashes taxes, and expands free child care and family leave, along with the continuing growth of retirees accessing Social Security and Medicare (remember Trump said he wouldn't touch that) yes, the debt will increase by at least a couple trillion. I wouldn't go as high as $10 trillion, but when he leaves office the national debt will be in the low-mid $20 trillion, so 3 to 4 trillion more.

And no, there will not be enough economic growth to offset his new borrowing. Throw in the fact the Fed will start raising interest rates as growth occurs to combat inflation and you will not see the debt reduced.

Do you think a $1 trillion spending program paid for by borrowing the money is a conservative idea? For ship yards and iron works? It's 2016, not 1916!

Steve Bannon:
“Like [Andrew] Jackson’s populism, we’re going to build an entirely new political movement,” [Bannon] says. “It’s everything related to jobs. The conservatives are going to go crazy. I’m the guy pushing a trillion-dollar infrastructure plan. With negative interest rates throughout the world, it’s the greatest opportunity to rebuild everything. Ship yards, iron works, get them all jacked up. We’re just going to throw it up against the wall and see if it sticks. It will be as exciting as the 1930s, greater than the Reagan revolution — conservatives, plus populists, in an economic nationalist movement.”
