    What is wrong with owning a working cannon? I know some guys who use their working cannons in Civil War Re-enacting. If citizens owned a nuclear bomb, you would have a much more limited government, don't you think?:wavey:

    Mr. Bush, Tear Down That Cross

    On a hill in San Diego
    Stands a monument to our losses;
    A tribute to our wartime dead
    Like many other crosses.

    Against a tranquil azure sky,
    This cross has borne the years,
    It’s spreading shadow falling
    Upon graves that bear our tears.

    For decades no one’s questioned
    This pale tribute to our slain,
    Until angry Libs at ACLU,
    Decided to complain;

    And seek a federal order
    From robed fools in Sodom town,
    That this offensive Christian symbol
    Must forthwith be torn down.

    To everything’s a season,
    A time for birth and dying,
    A time, too, for love of country
    To fall victim to Liberal lying;

    A time for those of any faith,
    Those heartfelt, frank believers,
    To be ridiculed and rejected
    By hollow harsh deceivers;

    But there is a time as well
    When truth must sure prevail,
    When our hearts sense basic truth,
    Causing fools like these to fail.

    And stand we must against these fools,
    Or it will be our gravest loss,
    If these fools succeed when they demand,
    Mr. Bush, tear down that cross.

    The Left’s has ne’er forgotten how Ronald Reagan brought their fall
    When with his words he changed the world by tearing down their wall.

    And to think that some actually believe that the ACLU does not have an agenda against Christianity . . .

    That's right, they have an agenda against one religion being favored. It may seem like they are against Christianity because that is the religion most often favored.

    I do agree that Christianity is discriminated against when menorrahs but not creches are allowed.

    I doubt you will ever see the ACLU fighting to have a menorrah removed from public property...

    That seems inconsistent, doesn't it?

    If nothing else, the ACLU is 'inconsistent' (except when fighting against Christian symbols). In that fight, they are relentless.

    I may not call them anti-American, but they are definitely anti-Christian.

    They are NOT interested in keeping religious displays off of public property. They are only interested in keeping CHRISTIAN displays off of public property.

    AMEN!

    And I am consistent in my lack of support for the ACLU - until they discriminated against me and told me so, I tho't, "You know maybe those stories are just a little contrived."

    IMHO - They are anti-Christian.

    Except when they have supported the right of Christian clubs to be treated the same as others on school, ie. public, property; the right of Christian prisoners to preach; the right of Christian street preachers to preach on the street; the right of a second-grader to sing a religious song of her chosing in school; and so on.

    Yep, they have been very consistent when the Government can pay them a lot of money. Isn't it funny how a big business can call itself a non-profit. What a tax loophole. But, a preacher cannot preach against the sin of a politician without the threat of an IRS investigation.
