So Hollywood has once again used the awards dais as a bully pulpit. What are your impressions of her little rant about Trump?

I have to wonder how Streep and Hollywood can be so upset with Trump for his mocking a reporter, while most of Hollywood's comedians are guilty of the same as they use the stage to mock anyone and everyone? The host of the Golden Globes, Jimmy Fallon is one of the biggest mockers of humanity for the sake of getting a laugh, so, how can Streep and the other elites criticize Trump, while their comedians offend all the time?

Simple!! 'Cause they are liberals/progressives/dimocrats/whatever, and that is just what they do. It's their nature just as certain that a fish naturally swims!

It's the disability element. It's not acceptable to mock someone for a disability.

The other night I was watching the new To Tell the Truth. One of the contestants (well all three claimed) had an accident and had screws in her skull. One of the Hollywood panelists said to the woman, "so you have screws in your skull, does that make you screwy?" That was cold and crass, and uncalled for, but because he was a star, everyone cracked up, and the woman seemed embarassed. What makes these elitists different from Trump. Not a darn thing.

Don't generalize to all of Hollywood from one joke in poor taste.

Here's one major difference, though: none of these celebrities are going to be the President of the United States on January 20. THAT'S the difference.

At the time, he was not any where being president elect. Just another candidate. It is time to move on.

Is he the same man, or has he been switched?

Is this the same standard that was used when people went after Obama for some of his questionable connections before he ran for office?

Are you condemning that too? If so, then I won't see your position as hypocritical.

He. was. running. for. the. office.

Why don't you just move on as well? All the "blah blah blah liberals are horrible" is not exactly new, either.

Actually, how you view my stance is purely up to you. That is your right as is it mine.

And he didn't. If you look at videos that are available online, this reporter does not have a spastic disability. Think more of Bob Dole who can't use his hand. That's all. And then if you look further, you will see he did the same movements while speaking about Ted Cruz who does not have a disability. There was no mocking any disability involved anywhere but that is not helpful to the left so they bury the truth.

That's an extremely generous perspective.

Thank you Anne. You made an awesome point, this argumentive point is what I've been waiting to hear. If I made it, I'd not been received well, so I am glad it came from you. Shalom!

If one watches Trump, he uses similar hand gestures, all the time, when talking or speaking.

I expressed my repulsion when Trump did this "mockery".

Over time using comparative analysis I chose to support Trump in spite of his boorish behavior.

What is the differential comparison?

If birth "defects" are detected in the womb (e.g. Downs Syndrome) many progressive liberal doctors advise for abortion. Don't mock it, kill it!

Don't get me wrong - I don't think that a man who was running for the President of the United States should mock anyone but to say that he did it to make fun of a handicap is wrong. He just does it to make fun of anyone - which again, is not becoming of any grown-up or even a child, IMO.
