My wife has been in the hospital since June 13 and one day a therapy dog was brought to her room. It really helped her.

' Many universities have instituted "Pet Your Stress Away" programs, where students can come in and interact with cats and/or dogs to help alleviate some of the strain.

Scientists at Washington State University have recently demonstrated that, in addition to improving students' moods, these programs can actually get "under the skin" and have stress-relieving physiological benefits.

"Just 10 minutes can have a significant impact," said Patricia Pendry, an associate professor in WSU's Department of Human Development. "Students in our study that interacted with cats and dogs had a significant reduction in cortisol, a major stress hormone." '

Also, coloring, play dough, soy milk, and a safe space are good for college students. They have to be careful not to see or hear anything that will upset them because they disagree. They don't like clowns and frogs and circus music, either. As NCP said, ask not what you can do for your country but what your country can do for you.

I certainly believe this. Our little furry friends exist to help us through this life, they stick with us through thick and thin, do not complain much, and never talk back to us in a condescending hateful manner. They are truly companions from God!

That must be it, I’m feeling stressed and am in this thing to win! That’s the reason I’ve begun building a mini-farm which seems to be expanding almost daily. Likewise, building things with my hands brings me satisfaction and comfort and naturally goes together with creating a farm. To me it seems overdue, like an awakening! I don’t know, it just feels right, it feels good, so I keep doing it and it brings me peace. I can’t help it if the size seems a little obsessive, I’ve always been a very capable and extravagant builder, it’s always been in my blood, and as for the animals maybe it’s a Noah Syndrome kind of thing. Yes, it could be God’s answer to my prayers, …perhaps I've always had this extra land for a reason and that reason is I need lots and LOTS of companions! :Thumbsup:Smile
