Do you want to know just how ridiculous the PC police have become? Do you want to know how one school wearing their school colors to a recent basketball game "Offended" the students of the opposing team? Well read the following story, and let me know what you think ...

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/201...-red-white-blue-apologize-offending-refugees/

http://freedomlibertynews.com/upset...wearing-american-flag-colors-basketball-game/

Geesh! Get a life students from the other school! This is America!!! Get used to seeing those colors in a lot of places. You are now in America, not the jungles of Africa, or the sand dunes of your homeland! Since you are here, do what all Americans do, and that is celebrate being an American! Wave the flag proudly ... wear the colors with pride and dignity! That is what being an American is all about! Stop with the "I was offended stuff" and bring your own American stuff to the next game!

I think you've got Fake News sources there. GatewayPundit was the "news site" that used photos of the Cleveland Cavaliers championship parade as proof of the hugeness of Trump's rallies (probably the most famous of their fake news stories but I also like their contention that TV closed captioning indicating applause was really an instruction for applause) and freedomlibertynews is also a Fake News site.

These kinds of stories--like Obama putting his feet up on the Oval Office desk, and not saluting, or having a smaller flag on his plane--are calculated to get older white males all worked up. Looked like you fell for it (again.)

This not fake news, grasshopper! The story has been on CNN and Fox this morning. I am sure it was thoroughly vetted. But thanks for your concern, at least I hope your comment was out of concern, and not an attempt to make my OP into something other then what it is?

Here's the headline from the GatewayPundit:

Des Moines, Iowa – Students from one Iowan high school apologized to another Iowan high school when people (refugees) found their red, white and blue attire offensive.

Yes, you read that correctly. It is now racist to wear the colors of the American flag.

Yes, you read that correctly--the GatewayPundit thinks that refugees from a particular country is a race.

The Gateway Pundit quoted The Daily Caller:

Supporters of the Des Moines North High School basketball team, many of whose players are from refugee families, were offended when fans of Valley High School’s basketball team wore red, white and blue last week, The College Fix reports.

“This is an example of BLATANT racism,” said Ty Leggett, a Valley High School alum, on the Valley High School – WDMCS Facebook page. “ALL participating should have been pulled and banned from ALL VHS extracurricular events for the remainder of the year! As a parent, I’d be mortified that my son or daughter thought this way, acted in this fashion and refrained from taking a stand against this 21st century inexcusable behavior!”

Erin Ness Carter, a mother living in the Iowan district, remarked that “for the supporters of one team from a primarily white part of town to paint themselves as the ‘team of the USA’ it strongly implies that the other team, the less white team, is less American.”

Some individuals defended the Valley High students.

“Now we can’t wear USA stuff without making someone upset?” asked Melissa Fraas-Bader, another Valley High alum. “Oh please….”

The Highschool students who wore Red, White, & Blue were labeled as racists.

I see no one from the "refugee" high school (North High School) complaining about the red-white-blue being worn.

I see the North High School coach saying he didn't think the wearing of the colors was an attempt by Valley High School fans to be offensive.

I see a story that includes an apology from Valley High School saying "It has been brought to our attention that the decision by the Valley High School student section to wear U.S.A. apparel at our game last night was offensive to members of your community and fan base."

Nowhere in any story you linked to is there an actual quote that a player from North High School or their fans were offended. If I missed it, please post it.
