My pastor go to is the 2011 Niv, but does use esv at times
Have you ever faced him down with all your groundless objections to the NIV2011? You know, all the false things you have said about it for the last 17 years? Nothing in the text has proven your case. If you spoke with him in private what you have said in a public forum -- he would shame you on the spot. Besides, if you believe against all truth and logic, what you have asserted over all these years --you wouldn't be under the authority of a pastor who uses the NIV. You need to be consistent or else you are being hypocritical.

I am under his authority due to him being called of God as a pastor, not due to his preferred translation choice!

But all of the serious charges you have leveled at this translation are cause for you to leave your church post haste. After all, from what you have been saying for the last 17 years it has to be the worst thing that Christianity has faced in a thousand years. I don't know how you can bear hearing it quoted. You have characterized it as an evil thing --something so wicked that authentic Christians should avoid it at all cost. You must have no principles to endure such a travesty Sunday after Sunday.
