(NaturalNews) A gay pride youth party in Taiwan went horribly wrong last night as a special effect consisting of huge clouds of rainbow-colored glitter particles was launched into the air over the partygoers. To the shock and horror of everyone, the metallic glitter ignited, raining down a firestorm of death upon hundreds of attendees who were engulfed in flames.

I do realize this site isn't owned and controlled by any of the six mega corporations the news sites you apparently hold in very high esteem are yes.

That's why I did a Google search to verify the story before I posted it. Like I do with any other story I come across. I also visited the Taiwan news sites linked in the article and translated them using the Google translate tool (right click - translate - enter) to verify that the western corporate owned media were indeed all omitting the same information from their articles.

I also know why that disclaimer is there. The government and big pharma and their lobbyists and lawyers in Washington would like nothing better than to shut down all alternative health sites and take their products off the market to protect corporate monopolies and profits. The disclaimer is there for "legal" reasons.

Actually, the story has been corroborated by numerous other sources (although Time magazine places the number of casualties closer to 200 than 500).

The disclaimer is because the site often discusses homeopathic and natural remedies for health issues and the disclaimer is there to protect them from being sued.

Any dust suspended in the air creates a potential fire/explosive hazard. I've even witnessed a dense cloud of concrete dust intentionally ignited by an oxy-acetylene torch (the colors produced by that were impressive).

That's true but it still leaves the question of why the western corporate media has chosen to leave certain information about this event out of all their "reports" un-answered.

This is the first time I'm hearing of this. I'm on my phone and so can't do my own research very well. What is the western media leaving out?

That the gathering was a corporate sponsored "gay pride" event to celebrate SCOTUS ruling on same sex marriage.

I'm not doubting you, but I guess I'm not putting two and two together. How does leaving that out help their agenda?

From the comments section after the "news" article:

I am a Christian and living in New Taipei City now. I want to tell you all this: "What happened to these teenagers and young people is really a tragedy! They went to the party to enjoy the music after the school year went to an end. It is NOT a gay pride event whatsoever. If you are real Christians, you should include these badly injuried people in your prayers.

I am a local from New Taipei City, Taiwan. The trurh is: this was NOT a gay pride event at all! It was just a carnival held by a theme park, then there was an explosion accident. Rainbow Party is a culture we called "HOLI FESTIVAL" from India. There are a lot of young people are suffering now. Please pray together for God to relieve their suffering and support to all the families. Thanks everyone......

The Pride in Taiwan is always held in October... this party is definitly NOTHING TO DO with the gay Pride... This "color" (not rainbow) party was planned before the approve of same sexaul merriage law...

This is just a a normal pool party with color powder, most of them are young couples(boy and girl) stop rumoring this. A 18yr old girl just died and her little 13yr old brother is burned with 80%of his skin struggling in the hospital.

This is just a simple color party, but this article misinterpret this as "gay party", and then so many "Christians" here cursing the injured people instead of praying for them.

It's not a gay event!! most of the victim are heterosexual and innocent Using this tragedy to spreading your believing is disgusting!

I am a Taiwanese who live in the New Taipei City, and I am here is to state that this is definitely not a gay pride party. 鄒小馬

How dare you use those poor teens to fulfil your religious propaganda. That was not a gay event. You guys are shame of human being , shame of love of Christians , you guys must be fellow of devil so that able to write this kind article and make this kind lie and using poor people's wounds to fulfil your dirty religious view .

From what I'm seeing, the connection is baing made from one of the sponsors of the event, called NewUrbanMale, which does seem to be gay themed. (And then it's claimed that the banners and site graphics shown in photos, which are arranged as rainbows [though not quite in the same colors], indicate it was a Pride event, though we would need to read Taiwanese to verify that).
Still, all of this doesn't mean it was necessarily a gay event. The colors of the powders are often "used to create a party atmosphere".

I'm not the one who claimed this helps "their" agenda. I'm assuming the poster who did make that claim is speaking of the "liberal" agenda.

I'm still waiting for him to explain why if this is due to the "liberal" agenda why Fox News is also leaving this piece of information out of it's report on the same subject.

(raining down a firestorm of death is no doubt meant to evoke the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah. BTW, one person has died in this "firestorm of death".)

From Fox News
The powder for the event called “Color Play Asia” ignited along the ground, mainly burning people’s lower bodies,

From Focus Taiwan News:
Sometime before 8:30 p.m. last Saturday, the crowd at a New Taipei party called Color Play Asia found they were standing almost ankle deep in a layer of colored dust that had accumulated in front of a performance stage. Apparently no one thought it would be a problem -- until the dust ignited.
