Taking sides

I went out two eat with a couple that I had known for some time.

While eating, they got into a heated argument, and began shouting at each other.

I normally don’t take sides at these times, but listening to them nearly out of their seats, shouting, and disturbing everyone I sat watching.

I went ahead and ate his fries and her corn and they didn’t even notice.
