Teacher ousted for 'saying Obama not Christian'

But a big portion are and we say "In God we Trust," the whole world is in the last phases of the final Apotasy and soon Christ will return for His Bride the church.

Again, apostasy pertains to GOD's people. It does not pertain to the lost.

Now I do not agree with the folks who say God will have to apologize to Sodom and Gommorrah if He doesn't destroy America. Sodom and Gommorrah had only 4 people that were saved America has a whole lot more.

But that's just wickedness running rampant as it did in the days of Noah and of Sodom and Gomorrah.

He got His people out of Sodom and He got them into the Ark. And as His people, us , the Gentiles slip into apostasy, He's gonna get us out of the way again.

Jesus Christ is not a pawn to be used in partisan politics and it makes me sick to see her try to do that with impressionable minds.
When I was in Middle school teachers had liberty to speak their minds and even admonish us to be in church on sunday.

So would you want a Morman doing the same to your kids? How about a teacher of Islamic faith?

They are my kids. I have the ball as far as their spiritual growth is concerned. It's what I am charged with as a responsibility as a father.

I think this is another area in which the church needs to choose a side of the fence and stay on it.

We don't want teachers telling our kids about masturbation or birth control or Timmy has two mommys.

But it's okay to tell the kids things about the church or the Christian faith? Teachers need to teach the subject which they have been hired to teach.

Anything else should require parental pre-approval.

I would be outraged if a teacher was making such generalized assumptions to my children while at school. Jesus Christ is not a pawn to be used in partisan politics and it makes me sick to see her try to do that with impressionable minds.

Recognizing Obama is not a Christian is a simple, and correct, observation of behavior and statements he has made concerning his "faith". Not partisan politics.
However, the classroom is no place to air that opinion.

Well yes and no.

Having someone spoonfeed my kids their particular party slant is very much partisan politics and using faith to leverage kids future voting habits (which is exactly what she was doing here) is most definitely partisan politics and something I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want happening to your kids if it was someone saying the same thing about Romney for example.

I'm well aware that Obama has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to salvation which is not partisan politics in that regard. On that we agree.

School is no place for political opinion from kindergarten through graduate school. Teachers are paid to teach, not indoctrinate.

Exactly. Indoctrinate is a more apt description of this scenario.

That they share with their peers outside of a classroom full of impressionable young minds. You would be the first person screaming foul if it was a Muslim teacher telling your kids they are wrong if they vote Republican and are of the Christian faith.

The Holy Spirit uses truth and his word does not return void like a Muslims rant.

Yep, atheist teachers, gay teachers, liberal teachers, socialist teachers, evolutionist teachers, oh, yeah, and occasionally Christian teachers of whatever denomination.

All should be allowed to state their personal opinions as if they are facts to young, easily malleable brains.

Or maybe they should keep their personal views to themselves. Huh.

If you cannot discern truth from error I see why you said this.

Do you want atheist teachers, gay teachers, liberal teachers, socialist teachers, evolutionist teachers saying things to children about their personal beliefs?
