I only use my cell phone when picking up people at the airport. We have a free parking area for cell phone users.

Per minute plan usually costs $10/month but the taxes add another $5.

Not only do I not have a cell phone because of no cell phone service where I am (Nowheresville), I have NO phone due to not being able to have a regular phone in the RV I'm renting.

We use Tracfone and find it a great money saving method with the best coverage around. We went to the mountains in NC with friends (there were six of us) I was the only one with coverage. Tracfone uses everyone's towers so you always have service.

I have a mobile phone for emergencies, like everything else in this country, it is an EXPENSIVE toy when incomes are generally low., oh yeah....because the country is very mountainous where it is not very ravine-ous the coverage can be patchy.

Ravine-ous = being the other way round from mountaineous.

Droid 2 Global on Verizon. Family plan with 2 other lines with unlimited text. Cost is ridiculously high at $139 a month for three lines, considering you are only jiggling and pushing electrons through wires and through the atmosphere. (The Droid 2 Global has a mandatory data plan at $29.99 a month.)

According to my experience and the experience of relatives and friends, Verizon has the best coverage and signal quality. Their customer service is top notch.

Now that I have internet access and emails on my phone, I could never go back.

I just can't believe the cost is so high.

I have a feeling I'm going to be the craziest one on here..(i'm typing mine before reading other responses)..

we pay about 190 dollars a month ..we have a family plan and includes 4 phones (dont ask me why we have 4 phones...but we are letting my aunt and my sister use the 2 that we dont use)...

The other 2 phones are just basic phones but my husband and I have Android phones..He has the Evo and I have the Moment..We use our phones for absolutely everything..internet, social networking, GPS, texting, taking photos (both are print quality), email, you name it..

And we are paying that much because we have an unlimited family plan for all 4phones..unlimited: texting, minutes, data usage, internet, etc..and my husbands phone is a 4G phone so they charge an extra 10 dollar fee just because its 4G...

oh and we have Sprint..verizon would be ridiculously expensive if we got everything we have now..although my husband wants verizon because they have the iphone now and he loved his old iphone...he's the phone nerd..not me..
And what do I think about it? I cannot wait till the other 2 lines expire so I can have those lines canceled..I'd like to say I could just do with a simple little phone...but I don't think I can lol..

I have a Droid Incredible with apps and can surf the internet. My wife and son have a standard phone with texting. We pay around $150.00 a month. Last month we got rid of the land line.

We have a T-Mobile family plan with 1400 min, free nights and weekends, free calls to any 5 numbers, and unlimited texting on 4 phones and after taxes fees, etc we pay about $120.00 a month.

I use my phone as mostly as a phone and to send texts when I have some quick piece of information to send.

My wife, son, and daughter all text more than talk. We end up using about 400 min a month, and I would guess about 20,000 text messages.

No one has internet on their phone because I refuse to pay for it. Really is it that important to check facebook from work, school or the grocery store.

We have not had a land line since our house fire in Feb. 2008. By the time we moved back into the house we were used to the cell only lifestyle, so what is the point of another bill.
