The specifics of creation....

1. The human brain contains 100 billion brain cells
2. 2 million brain cells die every minute
3. 14 billion synapses, the vital intersections between neurons Die every minute
4. The brain has top priority for blood, just like RAM memory needs electricity in a computer.
5. The blood needs to be cleansed by organs like the liver and kidneys so glucose and oxygen can keep the brain going. Loose the liver and kidneys and you will get very sick real fast.
6. The eyes need to stay clear. Tears need to secrete via the lacrimal gland a clear lubricating chemistry to the the eye. The eye needs the desired image to arrive at the correct place so the retina can process the image in full color to the brain.
7. The body needs to regulate the correct levels of glucose and oxygen at the correct temperature. Too much or too little sugar can quickly destroy the human organs causing all kinds of problems, including blindness. The pancreas has two main functions: an exocrine function that helps in digestion and an endocrine function that regulates blood sugar.
8. The body needs a male sperm to connect with a female egg to reform the human in a womb and put all these complexities together again.
9. Putting everything together and the human body contains about 40 trillion living cells, all with some kind of function to contribute to a healthy human body.
10. All these cells need the correct chemistry from planet earth to stay alive.

All of which came together by intelligent design.

The brain has comparable storage to a 100 gigabyte hard drive. Today's hard drives are in measured in terabytes. A terabyte is 10 times the 100 gigabyte. If the human brain acts more like RAM memory, most computers contain about 10 gigabytes RAM, or a tenth of the brains compatible storage.

I would say, then, that the brain is comparable to the modern computer and behaves more like RAM memory than the hard drive. The RAM memory needs electricity for it to stay alive, and the human brain needs its "electricity" (from glucose and oxygen) for it to stay alive. The RAM memory looses its mind very quick without electricity, the brain will stay a live a little longer, but not by much.

So... What instigated this thread?

I have just returned from vacation where I spent time at Dollywood's Splash Country and then drove south to a Camp meeting there in Georgia. The first day in Gatlinburg went good. The next day caused a severe dry eye and skin rash. I am a Lab Technician who has worked with all kinds of chemistry, worked with all kinds of calculations, plated with all kinds of elements, and have treated waste water with all kinds of chemicals. I have broken the CN bond with chlorine so it makes CO2 and NO2 and makes the waters acceptable to the environment.

So... What irritated my skin and eyes? I have a Jacuzzi that I maintain with bromine and have never experienced rash because of it. In research the problem must have been the reactions of urea (pee) and chlorine. The lazy river there was very crowded during Fourth of July week and I can imagine the urea (CO(NH2)2) and Chlorine (Cl) reacting for form....

Cyanogen Chloride (CNCl) is a highly toxic blood agent that causes immediate injury upon contact with the eyes or respiratory organs.
Trichloramine (NCl) is a toxic, explosive, nasty-smelling oily liquid

And bacteria that the Cl has not yet reacted with. Not to mention other compounds the Cl may have formed. Just by staying out of the public pools have caused my skin to totally heal up. After this ordeal I am now very skeptical of the chemistry that may be in public pools.

Why the use of Nitrogen? It appears that Nitrogen helps the process of photosynthesis along. I have read that more than 90% of world industrial production of urea is destined for use as a nitrogen-release fertilizer. Urea has the highest nitrogen content of all solid nitrogenous fertilizers in common use. Therefore, it has the lowest transportation costs per unit of nitrogen nutrient. To make homemade fertilizer just mix urine into a compost pile and you will be good to go.

After researching my diaper rash I had to delve into the mysteries and workings of Nitrogen, Carbon, Oxygen, Chlorine, and Hydrogen... Their reactions on this planet, and how the body deals with them. This tread came as a result of these studies... All because of what was probably kids peeing in the pool!

Also to note, while on vacation, was on how unhealthy so many people looked. This also has caused me to look into the overall health of cells and how the organs such as the kidneys cleanse the blood to make the overall body healthy. I have also read an article on what foods to avoid for the good of the kidneys and liver....

1. Red meats
2. Alcohol
3. Sodium
4. Caffeine
5. Sodas and energy drinks
6. Artificial Sweeteners
7. Dairy
8. Non-organic foods
9. Acetaminophen - Tylenol and other drugs can have toxic effects!

My thoughts after reading this article were... What's left? There are a lot of things out there toxic to the human body!

As I was reading the OP I was amazed and wanted to read further... It reminded me of the scripture in Psalm

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

But I was disappointed that the scientific knowledge although interesting after many post denigrated and became a sign I would see in my neighbors backyard... We don't swim in your toilet... So please don't pee in our pool!... Which at that time and reflecting on it now was not put up by intelligent design... Brother Glen

My references were in case of a stroke, in which I overlooked. In reality the numbers are more like 10,000 a day if you take care of yourself.... and 300,000 a day if you don’t take care of yourself. The effects of your lifestyle have a great impact here.

They weren't superstitious, they were only moderately stitious.

Getting serious now, the altar to the Unknown God has a story behind it that many people don't know. There was a plague in Athens hundreds of years before, and the Athenians prayed and sacrificed to every god in their pantheon, and they had no relief. They consulted with the Oracle of Delphi (the high priestess at the temple of Apollo), and she told them to ask the priest of the cult of Zeus, Epimenides, for assistance.

Epimenides came to Athens, bringing sheep with him to the Areopagus (aka Mars Hill). He informed the Athenians that they had displeased a god/God and they needed to repent and offer honor to this Unknown God. The sheep were kept hungry for a day, not allowing them to eat, and then Epimenides released the sheep, letting them wander. He told the Athenians that wherever a sheep lay down (instead of eating), they would know to sacrifice the sheep to the Unknown God at that spot. Sheep being sheep, they went all sorts of different directions, but the Athenians made sacrifices and altars to the Unknown God in a number of places in the city. As soon as they completed that religious duty, the plague ceased and the city was delivered. From that day forward, the Athenians also worship an Unknown God.

When Paul arrived in Athens (Acts 17), he was greatly distressed by all of the idols. But Paul was knowledgable of the classic Greek writers, and was familiar with the story of the deliverance from the plague. When brought to the Areopagus (Mars Hill), he made extremely relevant references to their worship of the Unknown God, and proclaimed, "what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you." (Acts 17:23) In his sermon, he also quote Epimenides, "In Him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28), as well as a quote from Aratus, "for we too are His offspring."

Probably the thinking that Paul failed in Greece is very old but I first heard it about 25 years ago. It disgusted me. Intellectuals do become Christians but most Christians are ordinary people. Millions of Greeks are now Christians.

It's more than 45 years old. I first heard it in Sunday School when I was in elementary school. I had a teacher who liked to use Paul's preaching in Athens as an example of what happens when you try to tell people about Jesus and you "don't know your Bible." I'm not sure if Ms. A realized she was accusing the Apostle Paul of not knowing the Bible, but that was her message. She was promoting scripture memorization.

I'm currently working carefully through Acts in my personal devotions and have found riches I have previously overlooked in my study. Something that strikes me about Paul's preaching to the Greeks is that he had a similar style of preaching for those audiences. For instance, in Lystra, when he was trying to convince the crowds and the priest of the nearby temple of Zeus that he and Barnabas were not Hermes and Zeus incarnate, he preached:

“Men, why are you doing these things? We are also men of the same nature as you, and preach the gospel to you that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them. In the generations gone by He permitted all the nations to go their own ways; and yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.” -- Acts14:15-17​

No doubt. A truly amazing creation it is true and didn't all come together by chance for sure. I'm on board!

Just think of it, your fingers typing on the keyboard - the signal from your brain down through your spine, out to the arm, then down to the finger. All the interaction between everything.

Some highly educated scientists who are still old earth and deep time are throwing Darwin under the bus as mathematically impossible. Darwin thought that life came from the bottom up but the complexity of DNA renders Darwin impossible. The older generation will probably die before they change their minds.
