Ten Baptists Arrested in Haiti

According to CNN which surprisingly has covered this story fairly in my opinion, the leader of this group has a lot of "baggage" including home forclosure Christmas Eve and numerous suits for non payment of bills.

I heard a similar story on NPR the other day on the way to work.
Let's hope for the best.

Even if it were true why would it be relevant to this situation? Nothing "fair" about bringing up unrelated situation just to make them look bad for being missionaries. We know nothing of those circumstances or the reasons why even if it is true. And quite frankly to add it to this story is just gossip.

Actually, a leader in the church like a pastor or elder or deacon should have a good reputation to the non-Christian world. Whether it would apply to this woman or not, I'm not sure. It depends on her position - is she a ministry leader in her church? Or is this a volunteer thing she does?

He's bringing up the reputation of this woman who led the group to take the children in Haiti since apparently there seems to be reasons for concern about some past actions. I am not sure what he means by paying employees unless she had some and didn't pay them.
