Does anyone know anything about Tenessee Temple University (TTU)? Does anyone have any experience with this university? Thanks for your input.
I look forward to your comments PilgrimPastor. I got my BA in Bible in '76 from Temple and did a semester of seminary there, but I'm out of touch and would like to know what is going on myself. I have relatives there but would rather hear from a current student. In particular, is it true that TTU is now SBC? Thanks.
By the way, you may have taken courses from my uncle, Dr. Roger Martin. Good man.

I really appreciate you're checking on this. Thanks! It's good to have up-to-date information from your alma mater. I gave up on the alumni website. Last I checked, the news section was way out of date.I just spoke through email to an official at the school and he wrote this "... "Affiliated" can be either official or unofficial. Officially, we are not yet affiliated with the SBC, although official affiliation is certainly the intent of the administration..."
I've never taken online courses from either, but I took seminary courses in 1986 and 1993. The ties between the schools go way back, seeing that I took an apologetics module in '93 taught by Gary Habermas of Liberty.TTU has been approved, as I understand it, to have a booth at the annual meeting. I am having a great experience with the school. I have your uncle for an upcoming course in just a few weeks. The online and DE of the school functions very much like it does at Liberty. In fact, a recent professor I had for an online course also teaches courses for Liberty Seminary.
Thanks for the link, Jerome, I had heard that.
Tennessee Temple University is also in the process of being approved as an SBC school.
PilgrimPastor,
I am looking at TTU's MDiv program and was curious to know what your overall experience with the school has been. Since my initial posting, I have initiated contact with the school and I must admit that I am overly impressed. The TTU rep that I spoke to informed me that the seminary degree programs are stackable. He recommended that I start with the Master of Ministry program and progress forward, in order to have short range goals to achieve along the way.

So is the approval process still ongoing, or was it unsuccessful or abandoned?
God will help and provide. Have a great time at Temple. I know I did!PilgrimPastor,
I just wanted to thank you and everyone else who responded to my initial posting. I am a little hesitant about going back to school after so many years; especially now that I am married with two kids and working full-time (rotating shifts), but God's way is the only way. I'm looking forward to seeing what He has planned for me. Good luck with your studies.
