I am curious as to where the brethren on this board stand with regards to the life of Mrs. Schiavo.

Was that nursing home patient already dying, and on life support? Terri was NOT dying before they started starving her to death, and she has NEVER been on life support. The liberal media, and her adulterous husbands activist lawyer would have everyone believe the lie that she was on life support, that is just not true!Originally posted by Soulman:
This is happening everywhere. One of my nursing home patients after a stroke was put down this way.

we all need to be fed daily, so whose next on the list for starvation. Simply by being judged by others not to have what they deem 'quality' of life you can get put on the list of those who are inconvient to society. The elderly, the ill, children(abortion), have all been deemed inconvient, so which of us is next? Prehaps those who do not work for whatever reason(stay at home moms, disabled, but their already on the list), how about that nosey neighbor, the guy who cut you off on the way home from work.but needs to be fed three times a day!
This is the only question I had to really think about. I voted "YES" only because the judicial system has, IMNSHO, already put the government in a position of interferring in what should be a "family only affair"!Should the Legislative/Excecutive branches be allowed to intervene in this case?
Diane, if it's any comfort at least youcan change the "6" to "5". When I voted i mistakenly checked the "Yes" box, and there is no way to go back and fix it once you submit your votes. Still rather sad.Originally posted by dianetavegia:
Poll Results: Terri Schiavo (26 votes.)
Should Terri Schiavo be allowed to starve to death?
Yes, and I am Baptist. 23% (6)

I guess I should be shocked but I'm not. These same Baptists are probably pro aborts.
I wonder if that is permission then(as if we need it, after all they don't need Terri's) to starve them to death if we disagree with their quality of life?Originally posted by dianetavegia:

The Schindlers also do not want Terri to live in this condition. They want her to get the rehabilitation that her husband has denied to her for the past 13 years.Of course, I can only guess, but the difference is probably that the person in the nursing home either had an advanced directive or the family agreed on what this person's wishes would be.
The Schindlers and Michael can not agree on what Terri would want. However, the courts have decided that Terri would not want to live in this condition.
