I'd hardly call Fat Harry 'great': he wasn't exactly a 'nice man' and his reasons for his breach with Rome were secular rather than religious.

Also, which is the country you are referencing in your post - who is the 'us'?

Absolutely,

But he rescued England from the tentacles of Rome, and freed us from the laws of Rome.While he was probably always a Catholic, it is said that he took mass on his deathbed But he was guided to break with Rome by the religious leaders, which his predecessors did not, including Henry II who caved in to Rome and enforced Catholicism on Ireland,which is the cause of all the troubles in that Island today.
