I was angry when Montana caved in to national pressure from D.C.

The problem is that pressure was the Federal Highway Funds - money collected by the Feds from Montana, among other states or commonwealths.

Speed limts should be under the full control of the State or Commonwealth - period - no strings, no nothing from the Fed
