The “Green New Deal”: Not Dead Yet

I would agree that it requires rational debate with bipartisan participation. But when has McConnell ever done this? Never.
Thus you agree only with your own. There was nothing rational about that resolution to warrant debate. It deserved to be tossed out as frivolous, but at least they all voted it down.

The Green New Deal is a massive boondoggle that would restrict individual liberty and cripple economic growth. If and when its animating ideas go to the grave, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Its "animating ideas" won't die before their "idealists" and their AOC-like disciples. No sigh of relief in sight. Take a deep breath and prepare for battle.

Just to clarify. The point was about political battle. Hopefully, there is no civil war looming.

It would destroy our economy, and turn America into a third world nation, so best to toss it into the loony bin it crawled out of!

The Green New Deal is itself, irrational. It does not require debate of any kind. It belongs in the trash can. It is simply undoable. Rational, intelligent people recognize that the Green New Deal is simply a crazy, childish notion that cannot be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, AOC will likely get re-elected a few times in her own district; however that'll likely be the extent of her damage range. Her stuff is too radicla for even most other Dems. Even Pelosi is losing patience with her.

Remember, "Progressive" is a new name for NEW-AGE-LIBERAL. They're the same buncha Socialists with a new name to try to get away from the "liberal" label. They deserve only our contempt.

"Progressive" is a preferred label liberally used by those wanting to sound palatable to the general populace. It sounds so positive. Hillary embraced it. Are there any Dems that don't?
