Make a double batch, Bill! I love hot wings and really they can't be too hot. [IMG] We need a firebreathing smiley.

 Sounds like a good meal to me- and a big crowd, so Rachel, I'll see your baked beans, and raise the pot with 'angeled' eggs. (Don't need to bring any 'Deviled', 'cause I'm sure he'll be around already. ) But somebody needs to bring the country ham. And I gotta' come to this dinner! Despite the fact that I weigh over 250#, I tend to run low blood pressure. However, with all the good food and and the Baptists to argue- 'er I mean discuss- things with, I'm sure that will raise it for a few days. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Pam, Obviously no partiality involved, but I might suggest you check this out with Randy! McNally, that is.

Alright, y'all gotta have compassion on the blind man (that's biblical). They have laws against me driving, so ya gotta come to Mississippi for the potluck.

Otherwise, you will fall under the chastisement of Paul when he wrote in 1 Corinthians 11, 'when ye come together... some go hungry.'

I don't travel well, so I vote for Illinois! :D

I specifically don't trust airplanes, for the Lord said, " ...lo, I am with you alway..."

We love banana pudding. Someone very kindly sent us some Nilla wafers, so I have had a go at making them too. [IMG] Does your wife make banana pudding with a meringue topping?

I was thinking of making some banana pudding just yesterday! I haven't made any for a long while, I think it's time...

    Hi Sheila! [IMG]

I've never heard of making it with a meringue topping. Is it good?

    Sue,

I just followed the recipe on the side of the pack of Nilla wafers... so it is the only way of making banana pudding that I know of, and yes, it is absolutely delicious. :D

Sue, how else is banana pudding made then  [IMG]

I probably make it the same way you do, Sheila, except without the meringue. It has been years since I've made it, the meringue has probably been added to the recipe since then.

I also stand the wafers up around the edges of the pudding. I will have to try the meringue because I love it on chocolate and lemon pies!

Most of the banana pudding I ate in the South did not have meringue, although the couple times I had it with meringue it was delicious! And my favorite way of having the vanilla wafers was the way Sue does it!! I just never made it myself because I was the only one in my family who liked it....

Maybe it is a southern thing. I had never seen banana pudding with meringue till someone graciously sent me a box of Nilla Wafers - sounds good though.

I'm half Yankee and half Hillbilly and I've never had banana pudding without the meringue. The meringue is the best part. [IMG] Some of ya'lls grannies just didn't want to whip those egg whites so ya'll been deprived all these years. :D [IMG]

    Hey! [IMG]

About the only things I put meringue on are chocolate and lemon pies...

I honestly had never heard of meringue on vanilla pudding until today.
