Everything that glorifies God dosen't always start out with a man who serves him, look at Esther, or Job,
But Esther and Job did.
Esther was a Godly young woman who was willing to sacrifice her very life for the existence of her nation. She fasted and prayed to the God of Heaven (Jehovah). She was a Godly woman.
Job had God's testimony concerning him in heaven before Satan:
Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth,
a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Only Genesis is a book that dosen't start with Sin. Haven't you heard of John Lennons "Help?" If you had [assuming your're that old] you could've offered him the truth at that moment. Instead you failed to glorify God because you judged him as did Job's friends.
John Lennon was a wicked man that wanted nothing to do with God. Yes I have heard of "Help," and remember the words to it. It wasn't a cry to God.
"Help, I need someone; Help, I need anyone Heeelp...." His cry for help was for some whore, not for God. Lennon was a sex maniac fixed on drugs who had no need for God (in his mind).
Music is not all praise love and "It is well with my soul." Art is MAN's views of life, and that isn't always through God's heavenly lenses. And if it takes doubting, questioning, or shouting against our Father, God does not condem it.
Yes, God does condemn it. God condemns all wickedness--doubting, questioning, and shouting against the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Creator of you and all who have had the privilege to walk this earth which he has created for us.
Habakkuk 1:13
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
Job was indeed perfectly righteous in his questioning and ranting, as was God when He put him in his place [which wasn't threatening but rather reassuring, if you actually read into it as little or much as I have].
"In all this Job sinned not neither did he accuse God foolishly."
David in his Psalms brings out every uncensored emotion and thought he had
God doesn't print uncensored emotions and thoughts. He censors them first, puts them through the purifying process of His Holy Spirit, so that they are the exact words that God wants in this Book.
from what God did to him and what he did to himself. I'm not making you listen or watch stuff that isn't to your taste, but if you are exposed to unGondly beliefs or expressions, don't let it stay that way but you will never be able to reach that musician or filmaker or graphic novelist if all you do is condemn the medium, he's worked hard hours with.
To condone ungodliness is to condone the works of the devil.
Ephesians 5:3-4 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Ephesians 5:11-12
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
However it's this type of condescending hatred of the marked "Entertainment Industry" which as made Christians such bad artists that I'm more repulsed to see our work compared to that of unbelievers
God hates sin. Christians ought to hate sin. It is a pity that they don't.
