THE BEREANS

Acts 17.11
"Examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so."

These words describing how Bereans examined the words of Paul. This can be considered as the universal example and obligation of all who decided to follow Christ and be His disciple and worshiper.

Examining Scriptures daily against background of this secular and godless world is equivalent to self-education and self-esteem in Christ that gives any true Christian who follows his GOD Jesus Christ the power of wisdom to avoid false religious teachings, gives ability to resist evil and at the same time enhance perfection in knowledge and understanding of the Word and the power of soul, in order to avoid wrong way of life and be faithful to Christ and live according to His Gospel to the end of the days of the earthly life, and even beyond.

Spiritual Gospel of Christ in the soul of the person does not dies with the physical body of the true Christian, but goes to eternity and last forever as the essence of one who accepted it and whose life spent was done according to its ideals. Just like a spirit that lives forever, the Gospel of Christ (New Covenant, Evangeline) lives forever in the soul of those who keep it in their hearts. In other words, spiritual always belongs to spiritual.

The Spiritual education starts on Earth and finishes in Heaven, and it gives Eternal Life according to the context of the Gospel's proclamation. So, Bereans, Jews and Gentiles, majority of whom perhaps Greeks, who's synagogue became the church of Christ, by examining the words of Paul against the Holy Scripture are the wisest people on Earth at that time, because they examined the words of Paul to see if his words match the core values of teachings of the Holy Scripture.

This directs us to conclusion that the true Christian do not trust anyone who preach Gospel, because many teachers in this world are false teachers, but if teaching of someone expresses the same values, principals, and ideals on the Bible, whoever teaching this can be accepted, as long as his or her teachings correspond to Spiritual essence of the Gospel of Christ and their own life as Christians.

But even this should be done very carefully, because many false and wicked people very educated in the Words of GOD and they teach and preach according to His Word wonderfully and with great enthusiasm, but themselves they live according to the principals of this world, which is deceit, godlessness, and evil, hiding their true nature behind the Words of Gospel.

Actually, no one shall be trusted, but trust should belong only in GOD and in His Words, and this is why Bereans did not embrace Paul's teachings right away when he spoke to them about Christ, but they thoroughly examined and checked his words against writings of the Holy Scripture and found it true, and only then they accepted him. This is the way and only way to stay alert and on guard against false teachings, false doctrines, and false prophets of whom the Earth always is full. True Christians shall not foolishly betray the Christ by following the false doctrines and traditions of those who have wicked agenda behind their "Christian" facade but shall always examine the words of those who preach Gospel comparing their words to the meaning and the essence of the Holy Scripture.

Where the Bereans examining New Testament text, did they have a set of Gospels to pore over?

Is that so hard to figure it out?

Bereans do not need the NT, and it was not existed yet.

But they checked and examined words of Paul by the Old Testament.

Why?

Because Jesus Christ's teachings are all about the Old Testament and from the Old Testament and nothing else.

The difference is that Jesus took Spiritual Commandments of the Law of Moses and teach them the people because they have been completely forgotten.

Jesus took these Spiritual Commandments as the base and the core of His Gospel (the New Covenant which is mentioned in the Old Testament).

For this reason, Jesus fulfills entire Law obeying the Law of Moses with its physical rituals and requirements to the end and introduced Spiritual Commandments of the same Law of Moses as ones to obey and to follow, to leave by these physical rituals behind.

37 years later after crucifixion of Christ the Temple was destroyed, and physical rituals and statutes of the Law of Moses no longer possible to fulfill.

But the Spiritual New Testament (New Covenant - Gospel) of Christ that derived from the Law of Moses now remains as the only Law to the end of days.

So, now is the TRUE FACT that the Bereans examined the words of Paul, his Spiritual Gospel of Christ, using the Old Testament Spiritual Commandments, and FOUND IT SO!

Paul, Apostles, and all the people of Christ teach and preach the same Spiritual Gospel of Christ of the Law of Moses, and to examine and to check its truth and accuracy only possible referring it to the Spiritual Ordinances of the Law of Moses for those who lived before NT. Where was no other source of GOD'S Word.

It is also possible and for those who live today and would be very beneficial and educational for all to do the same that Bereans did, because in order to understand New Testament's Spiritual Commandments, it must be understood first the Spiritual Commandments of the Old Testament, they are all the same.

Above all, if it was not the Law of Moses and the Old Testament that Bereans examined and found words of Spiritual Gospel of Paul true, what they examined then? This is question for you.
