The Catholic Church Cartoon Mascot

I grew up with illustrations for kids (not necessarily a generic or general character...but for Biblical characters). Christians have used illustrations to represent Jesus for centuries.

I'm not opposed to using such cartoons to reach people with the gospel, or for discipleship.

I am more concerned that people consider the Roman Catholic Church "Christian".

Then you have never lived under Catholicism. It is more a way of life than it is a biblical movement. Take the day of the dead experience for example. Do you hold dear any ancestor(s) who have died. Well if you do the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH has a way for you to honor them…all the while picking up money in the process…they are in purgatory so you buy a Mass card and say prayers for those souls (ca Ching):Frown. They got you. Luther objected but Catholics still present this as relevant… why!?!

Listen I believe that God has children in every religious group and possibly untold numbers not belonging to any religious group. I do not however believe that the RCC is a credible Christian church because they Minipulate people and they have a history of war, execution & persecution… that’s NOT Christian behavior.

I haven't. I was raised in a Christian church.

Then you can’t even begin to understand. The true church can only be identified by its adherence to the doctrine and practice taught in the Scriptures. If any other church, even though called by another name, holds to the doctrine and practice of the Scriptures, it would be part of the true church.
