Hi Ed, nice to see you. Where's Betty?

You know that nice weather I was speaking about yesterday? Gone with the wind. Hey, I like that pun...actually it got really windy, and now it's grey and cloudy. Tut Tut, Looks Like Rain....Winnie the Pooh.

Sherrie...good for you.

I just am too shy to walk like that anymore. I'm becoming too much of a recluse.

Yes Ed we are getting storms now. But I think the worse is headed for Jimmy. (God Love him.) The worse of it is in Hot Springs right now. Looks like Tornadoes. But there is just so much storms we can take. I do not want any more storms. I am so scared of them and they keep coming.

This has to be the worse year I have ever seen for these. Everybody can laugh at me, but I am by myself. I do not have anyone that will say calm down to me. Or any of those things. I have to be all like, I am not scared for my kids, but the truth is I am scared.

What Jimmy has been talking about is real. It is terrifying. And I am not always brave. Or always happy. Sometimes I am serious. And I do not like this.

My house isn't a new house. Its really old. We have a window in our bathroom over the bathtub, and the house isn't perfect. I am not rich. I can not just go out and buy anything. This is all I have.

So you all pray this just dies out for me, or goes somewhere else. Like somewhere where people won't get hurt.

Thank you for letting me have a weak moment.

Well it looks like one small storm here, and Jimmy got it all. Hope he is ok.

We do not need any more rain for a while. We will be so flooded. I am afraid my trees are going to fall over. These oak trees are about 75 years old. They are tall.

I'm tellin' ya! We need a rain down here in the terribleist way! It sorta rained but could still walk out and kick up dust in the garden---maybe tomorrow!!

Exxon--I use to hang out in Sinatobia!

Sister, Some of us men have a mission trip planned to Springfield in June--gonna do some sheetrock hangin' and muddin'in a worship center----not my favorite thing to do BUT the preacher I'm going with says, "Brother David! They feed ya like a king!! Come on and go with us!!"

Laurenda--I'll be prayin' for Brother Dan! Believe me! Its a man thing! I had some trouble with my back some time ago--went to the doctor---had my wife go with me in case ole Blacky Baby wasn't fit to drive home! He x-rayed me and then gave me this shot in my back--hurt like the "Dickens!"--then the bill!! Ouch!! Seven hundred doughnuts!!!!!!!! I told Miriam on our way back to the car---"You know! Soon as I get this bill payed off I do believe my back is gonna start feelin' a whole lot better!!" And it did!!

See you guys tomorrow!

Godd Morning FYG...Followinghim...jonmagee...and everyone. How is everyone this fine cloudy, rainy day?

Jonmagee...I saw and read your post. I wish I could give you an answer. Are you thinking you want to tour the USA, and maybe do some Lectures at colleges, or be a visiting Pastor of a church? Hmmmmm....I wonder how a person does that. That would be neat. Let me know how that turns out. I would be interested in coming and hearing you.

Oh you know what....Jude probably knows all about your problem. He did what your thread was asking, for a long time. He was a part time and fill in Pastor. He just recently got his own church. You might hit the jackpot asking him.

Have a nice day everyone. I have got to get ready...I have this really great, super, wonderful, appointment at 10:00, so I got to get some other things done.

Talk at you later!

Good morning all

(Caveat: good afternoon Jon & Followinghim)

I'm back to normal sore throat today (Wed, 14 May 2003)
I'll go see my doctor at ten and hope
to stay out of the hospital.
Betty is getting a scratchy throat.
Maybe i didn't breath on my 20-year-old
son, haven't heard him crouping.
Thunderboomers passed thru the area about 4am
and another one due about 8:30. These are
much thunder and little rain.

Greetings to all. Just dropping by to say hello. We are having a week of rain here..not steady, but enough to stop outdoor activities. It is good to read about everyone's activities.

Ed, have you tried inhaling the fumes of venegar on the cooker top? It is an ancient remedy for sore throats. A little vinegar in a pot and gently heated. Then slowly, very slowly inhale the vinegar through the mouth....slowly, because it can cause one to faint if taken too much at once. Even the big opera stars use this to soothe the vocal chords.

Cheers,

Jim

I might have heard it rain last nite, but then again I have a hard time telling rain apart from the AC being on full blast.

It is sunny with a nice breeze this morning. My only concern is that the breeze is a moderate one coming out from the south. I hope this is not a pre-cursor to more violent weather. I guess I need to head over to weather.com for the latest update.

I will be heading downtown in a bit to get my stuff out. I am still hoping and praying that Enterprise calls me with a car waiting. I dread having to cancel my interview in West Memphis on Friday 'cause I don't have transportation

During some quiet times yesterday, I have began to ponder the possibility of leaving Jackson. As much as I hate to leave Union, I am concerned about how the city has become vulnerable to tornadoes over the years--as well as the expected economic fallout from the recent devistation.

Yours in Him,
Jimmy

Thanks for your post. You know me, if the invitations come I need to prayerfully respond to them. Could you pray about that with me? It would certainly be good if we met up in that situation.

You seem real excited about your appointment, hope it goes well for you

yours, Jon.

Hi Jim, getting ready for my appointment, but wish to tell you hi. Be safe with the rains.

Yes Jon..I would be more than happy to pray with you on that. Yes, my appointment is very positive. Not much of that in my life, so I love it!

Well Jimmy where in the world will you go?

I'm taking off work the rest of the week
to recover from pnemonia. My MD told me this morning
to bed rest the rest of the week and week-end.
I have an appointment
early Monday. Maybe i can be at work an hour late Monday?

At the very least, Memphis. For one it is not that far away. I can also continue my education at Union's satellite campus there, and my cellphone will work there too. I have even considered Knoxville or Nashville. They are "nicer" cities than Memphis is. But no matter where I go, one of the nice things about working for RGIS is that they have offices in many major(and minor) cities in the US, so employment is not an issue(although I'd love to bring home bigger paychecks than what I am now--LOL).

Yesterday, I even looked at "SEMO's" website. I can finish my master's there, and pay just a little bit more for out-of-state tuition than I am at Union. RGIS has an office there, plus I'd be close to one of my favorite people on baptistboard.com

But right now, I need to think seriously about buying another car. The insurance adjustor called and said that my Mustang is a total loss. Plus I need to think about how to tow it off the premises where I was staying, since it won't start. I already found out about a Ciera that's for sale at a local service station, plus there's an ad on campus for a Crown Victoria.

Edifier,

Please listen to the doctor. I know it can be frustrating but you do need the rest. I hope you are feeling better and I pray for your speedy recovery.

Blessings

Jimmy...my son goes to SEMO. He lives at the Dorm. Dearmont.

That is exactly 45 minutes to 1 hour from me!!!!!!!!!!!! Depends on my lead foot! :D Use my address for being in the state, and then not pay more. Then once you are in...change it to where you will be staying.
