That's an interesting picture, Jim: Blackbird baptizing the coffee mugs and teacups down at the river.

Not sure that would be safe; we know he'd immerse, but he'd probably be washing dishes and tractor parts together.

But now we know why he's always snacking: pre-meal-inianism, pure and simple.

I now concede there might be a rapture. One will be needed to purge all that premillemmialism stuff from some minds. When we are finally caught up they will be one mind with us. I am prepared to show patience.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Ninety-nine!!! I saw that series on Star Trek: The Next Generation---the Borg assemilates Captain Pecard--and Data finally comes up with the solution---'course I don't think that has a clue to have to do with premillinialism! It may with Amin and Post--but never, never with pre--more pre's don't than do wear a collar!!

I doubt if I would ever making a preaching tour in the USA, so you won't have to worry about my collar and gown......lol......some churches in Canada don't like them either. When I go home to England and Wales, I am usually preaching in Anglican churches where they expect collars. I don't wear straight ties. I just remove the white collar and button up the shirt.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Well, Blackbird, the Caped Crusader must wear a cape ... why not a tasteful green-and-yellow robe?

"Jimminy, Blackbird. Sherrie is keeping her secret and we don't have a clue."

"I can't think, son. I have to get rid of this here collar that's squeezin' the life out of me."

"But that was a special gift from Jacob, one he said would protect you from evil."

"SON! I ain't having no superstitions, leastwise none that ain't Cajun!!!"

"Well, you got the collar off. But you're turning a spectactular shade of green."

"Quick, son, slap some yellow paint on me, my birdbrained brother, so I can go out in John Deere style!!!"

Slowly, Jacob reattaches the collar and the life begins to return to Blackbird's troubled face ...

Soooooooooo! Is Doctor rsr tryin' to tell his patient Blackbird that he(blackbird) can't live without the collar?? Its the collar that gives me life??!!

    "Quick, Robin! To the Batcave!"

Blackbird and his boy wonder arrive back at the cave--

"Wait a minute, rsr! You may be on to somethin'! Think about it! The collar gives Blackbird life, right??"

    "Right!"

"As long as he's wearin' the collar his heart keeps beatin'! Right??"

    "Right!"

"Well, this hypothosis may be in the experimental stage--but lets try somethin'--lets try and see if the collar is capable of givin' Blackbird "afterthought and foreknowledge" into the impossible quest of findin' out about those "blasted" flowers sittin' on the Coffee Lady's counter over there!! Whoever sent those flowers has a desire to one day rule the Coffee Shop(know what I mean??? Weddin' bells and chapels and cake and punch at the reception and all that other stuff!!) and take over things--and its up to the "caped" crusader of justice and the American way to stop him in his tracks!!"

"Blackbird! Right!!!!!!!! Now, put the collar on!"

Blackbird thinks for a minute--he has more engine-uity than that---and senses trouble--

"Boy Wonder! Stop! Its a trick! The Joker(ninety nine) is behind this---the collar, the collar! Once on Blackbird's neck--it ain't comin off---or at least that's what Blackbird's engin-u-ity is tellin' him--usin' my sixth sense!!"

"Hooooooooly parade of righteous crusaders, Blackbird! You're right again!"

"We have to find someone willin' to test the collar out!! YEEEEES! Charlotte Mancel!!! There she is over there in the corner sweepin the floor! There was a couple of ladies eatin' in here the other day that made a mess and then left in a huff--didn't even leave a tip! Poor Charlotte! But listen! If the collar is what we think it is--we slap it on her neck and ask her a series of questions and maybe she'll talk."

Blackbird and rsr force the collar on Charlotte's neck---much resistance--tables and chairs are overturned and both Blackbird and rsr's capes are torn to shreads--but she fails to pull our hoods from our heads---she is calm now and seated between Blackbird and his boy wonder--

"Now Charlotte! There's one question we want to ask--then we'll let 'cha go! Those flowers over there--who sent 'um?? That's all we want to know! Once you tell us--we'll take over from there! We'll also offer you amnisty and protection!! Be a sweet thing and tell Blackbird!!"

Tune in as my boy wonder may want to add his version of the scuffle and clampin' of the collar onto Charlotte's little neck!

    Your buddy,
    Blackbird

Jon...I do not have a camera...or I would have taken a picture for everyone to see.

Jon....you are more than welcome to sit next to the arrangement of flowers. But trust me...the card is in my journal.

Now gentlemen lets move on. Lets not let this plot thicken...more than what it has. Your gonna run my flower giver off...and then I won't get anymore. And you know I love flowers!

Theres no name...no pictures...according to the Geneva Convention...my number is 3...9...9...4...

"Holy halibut, Blackbird. What in the world did you do?"

"I was just washin' up, baptizin' the china Wesson style — when that magneto fell into the dishpensation tub and cracked everything."

"How are you going to explain it to Sherrie? Look, you cracked that 'special mug' from that 'special person.' "

"Quick, Robin, get me some JB-Weld and we'll get it back together so's nobody can ever tell."

After an hour of labor, the Dim Duo has rearranged the shards of the mug into a semblance of a soap dish.

"Great flailing flatheads, Blackbird. This will never work. Sherrie's going to find out for sure and then the Birdcave and the catalog shop and the bass boutique will be banished to another thread ..."

"Son, stop your blubbering. This ain't helpin' none."

A brilliant light flashes through The Coffee Shop. It is not a solvent fire, largely because of a fire marshal's visit the previous day.

"Ooooh! I got it now! We'll replace the mug — and that will let us in on who sent the flowers! I'll take the Birdmobile and visit all the local florists and find out which one has this mug, and then we'll have a lead on the culprit. Meanwhile, I'll leave an explanation, let's see, I'll work the collar into it, and you hold off the regulars till I get back."

"Wow, Blackbird! We may know soon who sent those flowers! But who can we get to verify your excuse?"

"Son, I'll talk to Charlotte and let her in on it. I've got to stop and fuel up, so it may be a while before I get back. So clean up what you can and be careful. And I'm a little short on cash right now. Can you loan me some money to fill 'er up? The Birdmobile is thirsty. Don't want to get stranded on Main Street, especially in this get-up."

"Blackbird, you know we don't have pockets."

Blackbird, wondering how he'll remove the stain from his green-and-yellow robe, eyes the cash register, then slowly pulls the handle ...

Ok you two! [IMG] It was not a mug...it was the most beautiful basket of flowers. I am not telling who sent them to me...to anyone! Pink and Purple accents of flowers surrounding two white roses. In the center were were Large blooms of orange; With a touch of med. Small yellow flowers. The Roses were just stunning. Pink and purple floated throughout the bouquet. It was not a small bouguet in a basket. It was a fairly med. Basket. Flowers and greens just burst, overflowing out of the basket. I do not think I have ever had anything as lovely.

And today they look as lovely as when I received them Monday.

Sherrie, rsr and blackbird seem very interested in these flowers some one gave you. Do you think they may be secret admirers too. Dont tell your friend I said you may have other admirers.

    yours, Jon.
