Wot we must do is engage a troop of auditors to go an examine all the shipping records of florist shops in the area and then the national offices of FTD.

You know, by the refusal to disclose the name of this gent, wot'shername, not wanting to point a finger, is leaving every gent in here and abroad suspect to this magnanimous deed.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Sue...of course I missed you. Matter of fact...I was going to email you, if you did not come on today. I was kind of worried. Thought you might have fell off the ladder.

Jon...there very well might be other secret admirers, but only one sent me flowers.

Great pictures Sue. Our youngest son (Tyler) is a fisherman. He went to the river with some friends on Memorial Day and came home with 13 catfish about ten o'clock and ol' dad had to clean em'. Well, I cleaned some of them and then I gave him the knive...after all, he did catch em.'

If I can find them I will post pictures of him fishing in a diaper; both our boys started out young. Unfortunately their dad isn't much of a fisherman :( .

Once Kelly's grandpa and I took them to a pay lake and Tyler was barely big enough to cast the line, he still caught more fish than anyone else, even if his bait barely hits the water a blue gill will take it  His dad can't even catch any with dynamite.

Sue---I took a goooooooooood look at those fish!! I mean, a good look! And it appears as if your grandson has finally caught "ole Sam!" The mystical fish that Andy and Opie were always out to get!

I need to know when the fish fry is!!! Would like to meet Junior "Bill Dance!"

    Talk later--

OK! OK! OK! Here's my plan for bustin' the "Flower" caper--I finally got a good description of the arrangement---detailed by the recipiant herself--now all I have to do is start compilin' my information---so I'm gonna lay low and out of the way for a while--you know, not bring the subject up nearly as often as I should--and I'll be listenin' and readin'--listenin' and readin'---lookin', lookin', and watchin' and readin'---
some soul will be lucky when he starts givin' more than flowers---and slowly but surely starts comin' out of the closet!!!

When Stephen caught that first fish, his eyes got as big as silver dollars. I'm sure he thought he had caught a shark!

BTW, I thought I was gonna have to learn to live with that stinky "Power Bait" smell on my hands! I tried everything. Someone gave me a tip and I will pass it on....use toothpaste, it takes the smell right off!

After further correspondence with Clarendon,AR, I found out that their school board will vote on my coming there in the fall to teach. I emailed the principal and phoned the superintendent to share my intentions. I emailed the principal on Tuesday because earlier that day I found out that West Memphis decided to hire from within. So that freed me up. And even though it might be for a year, I feel like I can gain something positive from this new job.

In some way I still get depressed when I go to bed at nite. Believe it or not, I sometimes get depressed coming to the BB. Not that I have a vendetta against anyone, but I find it hard to laugh at the humor. Or it might be that someone who will remain un-named did not think my "parody" of what an IMB trustee would say to a definat missionary couple was funny.

    I'm back!!!

Y'all won't believe what I did... I changed my e-mail on here to my new e-mail address.. and then somehow got logged off, and I couldn't remember my password!
Well, as it turns out, I had accidently left the "04" off the end of my e-mail addy, so they couldn't send me my password!

But it's all better now. Thanks, Clint! :D

Good for you, Jimmy. I know it's not easy to find any teaching position in today's educational budget cutting.

I know what you mean about humor. I am deadset, totally, completely opposed to it in any form or shape that it rears its ugly head. It must be crushed. Blackbird and I have dedicated ourselves to wringing all humor from this thread and have pretty near succeeded. Some would say totally succeeded.

Great pictures, Sue. My son was a fishin' fool for several years; when we went camping he would spend hour after hour down at the creek trying to outsmart the bluegills.

Luckily, I never had to deal with stink bait. Well, actually, there was that one occasion, but it won't be mentioned here.

I am told that English humour is such that one is not sure whether to laugh or cry......I too shall cease forthwith and shall utter not the slightest double entendre intended to bend the gastrointestinal system to uproar.

I love it when those guys use those big words. You never know what they are saying...but somehow it always sounds sophisticated and intellegent....and when its funny; I always stick my pinky finger out. [IMG]

No more humor for me, either! Cold turkey! No more silly stories! No more "spinnin' a yarn!"--I'm tired of it! Sister Sherrie is gonna just have to get use to the "new" and "improved" image that Blackbird has sworn and covenanted to. Its straight faced from here on out! And the first person I catch tellin' a funny story or a joke or a yarn---well, I'll just have to make up a rule when I catch ya! And it won't be a pretty site!!

ExxonMoble--son! The next silly story I tell---the next "caper" that Coffee House sends me on---won't cost ya nothin'---ordinarily I have to charge to tell a funny story--tryin' to save up enough money to take a ride on a space shuttle--wanna be the first Southern Baptist preacher in space!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheer up! The IMB ain't all that bad!!

    Your buddy,
    Blackbird
