I have the picture in my mind as we speak. Ed, dressed in am academic robe and mortar, scroll in hand with blue ribbon around it. A wooden pointer in one hand and chalk in t'other.

Betty, also dressed in an academic gown stands at his side, she is holding extra chalk and the rod of discipline.

    Wot a sight!

    Cheers,

    Jim

PS, Ed can be heard reciting the alphabet, backwards, and conjugating the opponents every sentence. "No dangling participles are allowed in this ring, or I will split your infinitives."

Our 15 year old grandson is working at his Dad's photo shop this summer. I told him that Grandpa Ed was in a hurry to have the pictures of his trip developed.

Grandson wanted to know why...I replied so that Grandpa Ed can show them to his friends.

Grandson replied, "Does he have friends?"

    I answered, "Of Course"

Grandson said, "I didn't think old people had any friends. Do you have any friends, Grandma?"

"Yes," I replied. " Old friends."

Grandson is still laughing and shaking his head in disbelief.

    Edifier -

Just put six or eight marbles in your mouth and then talk - you'll then sound about as good as most of pro wrestlers sound.

    Just mumbling out loud,

LOL, Dan, I was overzealous with the enter key, like someone else here. I can't remember who said it though! Anyways, I went back to edit.

Grandkids!!!! Leave it to them. My Grandson said to me one time when we were looking in a car magizine, "Grandma...did you ever think you would see anything like this?" And I said, "Well Bubba (Chris), I don't know, what do you mean?" He said, "Well when you was younger all they had was horse and wagons....." I said, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAkkkkkkkkkkkkk!"

I asked him why he would say that, and he said because of all those Little House On The Praire repeats on TV. Thought they were from when I was a kid. :(

    Sherrie,

The medication you got reduces the amount of acid that the stomach produces. It may take a few days for the stomach lining to heal.

    Still praying,

He has some catching up to do. And I noticed Cindy got real quiet. I tried to help folks...truly I did.

    Quote from Sherrie:
Stay away from carbonated beverages, coffee, and milk - they all tend to cause the stomach to secrete more acid - which exacerbates the problem.

Water is probably your best bet.

Don't count Gib out - he's still about 150 posts ahead of me.

I even tried to help Cindy out today - but I guess that I'm helping myself at the same time!!! [IMG]

    Howdy Miss Sherrie!
Well This time next week I would have been in Grenada on a mission trip, but because my grandpa got so sick, we just didn't think it would be a good idea for me to go right now.
Since I just got in my driving hours today for driver's ed, I'll be practicing that this summer. One of my preacher's friends just opened his third resteraunt here in my town, and he offered me a job. As of yet I've not been able to catch him, but I did put my job application in an envelope with his name and asked one of the employees to give it to him. So maybe, Lord willing I'll be doing some waitressing. He's a good Christian man, and praise God he runs his resteruants that way. No bar or smoking allowed. He's a real friendly person, and if he hires me I think I'll really enjoy working for him.
I'll help with VBS this year, but I'm not sure what.
I'll still keep doing all the things I'm doing at church right now.
Other than that, not much. Pestering people on the BB, and getting a lot of reading down are high on my to-do list!
Sherrie, btw, how is your ulcer this evening?
Don't kids just say some interesting things!? One little boy in my church asked Preacher what he did for a liveing. Preacher said he was a pastor. The little boy said: "I know that! But you do you do? You know, for work?" [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Oh me!

Abby wonder why the screen does that on you? Gets real wide. Maybe it is cause your name is so long.

Tummy still hurts. sore mainly. Doesn't burn. But feels really bruised. Even swollen. But I am belching too. Yes I know that wasn't lady like. But sometimes a ladies got to do what a lady can do!
