    Homely means something entirely different in Yankee (above the Mason-Dixon line) territory - it means a whole lot less that good looking or beautiful.

    But don't let it bother you - language - being what it is - is totally confusing - you explained your definition - I understand that homely means something different across the big pond - or even down under that goofy line - the south is a lot like the UK - the south still thinks they won the Civil War (don't tell blackbird that they didn't) and the UK still thinks the colonies on this side of the Big Pond are still paying taxes on tea (and I won't tell you any different).

    A little extra sleep time is good for us all - I didn't get up till 6:15AM - and its rained again overnight - I suppose that some time this summer I might be praying for rain - but just now - I'm praying that it not rain for a few days.

    Good Morning Everyone! Blackbird...followinghim...and all those I may not have seen ease in!

    Sun is shinning today! If it doesn't rain...I am washing my car today. But come rain or shine...I have house chores to do today.

    Especially laundry. Kenny said last night if I wasn't on the board so much...he could have wore clean underware to the movies. ahahaha! No he did not say that. hahaha! But he might if I don't do some laundry.

    Today I am starting on a new me! I am going to focus on me. Never done this before. Always had kids around. When you have kids around, especially lots of kids, there is no you. Sooooo...whats the first thing I do...well besides the Laundry. Ummmm.....come on you all can think of something. As long as it requires no money. I am broke. Well be thinking. I am while I will be giving the house an overall cleaning.

    Now....So how is the new tiller coming along blackbird? Guess you got those rows wide enough, that the tiller will get all those weeds. And tomatoes...blooms and green ones yet? Not quit hot enough yet is it. You need some 90 degree weather for a while.

    I emailed Laurenda last night. I told her you were asking for her. I will let you know out come when she emails me back. I did make a plea on alls behalf. Well and for me too.

    In THIS part of the South, "homely" means you're so ugly you have to sneak up on the water pitcher to get a drink.

    Jerry Clower, the great Christian and Southern Humorist, used to tell of a man who was so ugly that he hunted quail by looking at them, and they would just fall out of the sky. The fellow said his wife used to hunt with him, but she tore the birds up too bad.

    Ok...I am off to do chores....you all are in charge! I hope there is a coffee shop to come back to! Since the Major is here, and blackbird...someone watch them both...they will be moving planes parts in here trying to be the Wright brothers or something!

    Well its time for me to sign off for now - have some work to do around the house.

    And he has it shinning!
