The Criminals at Boeing & FAA

I partly understand why Iran refused to hand over the blackboxes. Neither FAA nor Boeing are trustworthy.

The FAA is duplicitous in all of this and probably many other investigations because hurting an American giant was worse than risking the lives of tens of thousands who fly on Boeing's death traps. I bet Airbus jets underwent much more scrutiny.:Frown

They didn't hand them over because they shot down the plane, which they finally admitted. Which side are you on, anyway?

Tell us why Iran is required to turn over the black boxes to anyone?

We'll wait...

Ok, Iran has admitted to shooting the jet down. Who gives a flip about the black box? You are consistent in your defense of terrorists.

I believe legally they are obligated to turn them over to the Ukraine. It is customary, maybe legally required, to give the manufacturer the boxes to use in identifying potential future safety risks.

Iran to send black boxes of downed Ukrainian plane to Ukraine

DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran said on Saturday it was sending to Ukraine the black boxes from a Ukrainian passenger plane that the Iranian military shot down this month, an accident that sparked unrest at home and added to pressure on Tehran from abroad.
Iran’s Tasnim news agency also reported the authorities were prepared for experts from France, Canada and the United States to examine information from the data and voice recorders of the Ukraine International Airlines plane that came down on Jan. 8.

This is the latest I've heard about the black boxes. The FAA, headed up by a former Boeing CEO stalled on dealing with the Boeing 737 Max problems. I think the U.S. was the
last country to ground them.

I don't think they are legally obligated to turn the black box over to anyone. Typically, it is customary to turn them over to the aircraft manufacturer because they can make the most sense of the data. Also, the FAA is usually involved because they have the most experience investigating airplane crashes. But, like you pointed out, this wasn't a crash.

The idea presented by the OP that Iran doesn't want to turn the black box over to Boeing because Boeing is corrupt is a strawman argument.

Assuming it was a regular crash and not a direct attack via missile.

I figured Iran would turn it over to Russia so they could analyze how well their AA system worked.

Yep. They are a bunch of terrorist thugs that need to be eliminated.

Well, don't count on Trudeau to do anything. Canada gives foreign aid to Iran. Trudeau has vast oil reserves but buys 10% of his oil from Saudi Arabia. He wants us to help him get a couple of Canadians out of a Chinese prison after a year but he also gives foreign aid to China & blames Trump for the downing of the Ukraine airliner. Trudeau is like Biden in that he too likes to grope women.

No, even the conservatives are modernists. They are all worried about global warming. Eastern Canada has voted themselves big welfare and high taxes for the rest of the country. The liberals go to some remote area where no one speaks French and they address the gathering in French. They are a branch of the US Dems.

They admitted to shooting down the jet. Two missiles.

If that's all you see then you can't read. This is about Boeing and FAA colluding to minimize Boeing's culpability in an air accident.

Ok.I guess Boeing is responsible because they did not equip the jet with missile avoidance systems.
