I am not an advocate of 'replacement theology'; however, I also do not believe that Israel/the Jews are the center of God's history and that the church is merely a parenthesis, to be taken out of here so that God can deal with his true focus, the Jews and Israel! To me, that tramples underfoot Christ's work and mission and sets up a two-path approach to salvation -- one for Gentiles and another for Jews.. And the idea that God approves a third temple being built where animals will get their throats slit again is horrrible, repulsive, and an insult to God!

Zechariah makes it clear that the Feast of Tabernacles will be reinstated in the future, and that is all about sacrifices to the Lord.

He said the nations that refuse to come to Jerusalem (it's believed each country will send representatives) they will receive no rain.

Of course these sacrifices are eaten, it's not like the animals are killed and thrown away.

Zech. 14:17-19

"And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles."

Of course this is the future 1000 year reign of Christ on earth when this takes place, The dispensation of the Kingdom Age.

So I would suggest you rethink your position on dispensations. You're missing out on much of your future.

@easternstar

Just to help give you a starting point in learning Dispensationalism, I've studied it most of my adult life and still don't know the depths of it.

The 7 dispensations are periods of time in history when God increased the knowledge of Himself and His redemption for mankind. It's a process that began in the Garden of Eden and is still in the works, until Scripture fulfills itself with "The knowledge of the Lord shall fill the earth."

Each dispensation in time is like moving from adding and subtracting to multiplication and dividing. The next dispensation takes man to the beginning of algebra and so on until we reach the full knowledge of the Lord, or all that He allows us to know.

When you begin in Genesis and on through you can see the dispensations taking place in history all the way up to where we are now, The Church Age. The Church Age is the longest running dispensation of all so far.

So much more to be said in how these dispensations in Scripture lead us to major doctrines that cover the entire Scripture. Most of which you probably don't believe because they came from the study of Dispensationalism.

But this is a starting point for anyone who wants to learn, and I can tell you from experience it's not easy, you will have to work for it even though there is much good info out there to keep you on track.

I'm sure you know more about it than myself, there seems to be no end to the dispensational value in Scripture.

which meana we may be going to phase 3 of this subject!

SG says he is not dispensationalist but from what you see in his post he sure studies it a lot.

I don't believe in unicorns so I do not study them at all.

Sort of makes you wonder if SG is a closet dipsy?
Not even close. It’s just in history, we see failed prophecy after failed prophecy, with each generation pointing to things going on around them that made them believe with a doubt, the rapture was sure to be soon in their lifetimes. And these generations of dispensationalists used the same verses back then (and were proven their end time soon prophecy was wrong) that are being used right now. How is it that this generation has it right when the others were obviously wrong? Yeah, I know; they will say they were obviously wrong because we are still here. But they were sure, without a doubt, they right in their interpretations, just like ppl today are.

Trust me, I’m done with this. A man convinced against his will is still unconvinced.

I think that's reprehensible.

Thanks for your efforts, but I don't need to 'learn dispensationalism'. I've studied it in-depth for 50+ years, and so I know it quite well. That's why I reject it.

The book of Hebrews shoots all of that down. There are no further need for sacrifices, as Hebrews says, Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,[Hebrews 10:11-12]. It says He sat down, meaning it is finished. No further need for sacrifices, yet dispensationalism says there is. I’ll side with the word.
